Where do you tend to gravitate when finding someone's website for the first time? (Other than the homepage, of course.) I made this mainly because I just noticed that I always tend to go to "about me" pages first, and I was wondering if that was a tendency shared amongst other people...

I usually beeline to an art page if they have one, but otherwise I generally go to their about. It gives me an idea what they're into, what they're like, and possibly what goals they have for the site.

I don't mind scrolling down to page 14 or whatever of search engine results so I don't usually enter sites from their home page. For personal sites, after reading whatever page I land on, I'll go back to their home page and take a look at that and then find their "about" page.

I just find it fascinating what people are interested in and what they share.

Usually the about page. I guess it's all dependent on what other pages they have, too. If they had a page filled with pictures of oranges, I'd probably go there first.

i visit the about me page first so i can get a feel of the 'voice' that's being spoken through the site, if that makes sense! but after that, i love exploring people's projects and things they're working on.

Checkout the homepage, a bit of an underrated aspect of a site tbh. Then I do one of the options mentioned on the voting poll which depends on context, like maybe I want to check out the history of an artist or find a interesting topic on the blog. It could be anything!

If I'm on the new website that I've never been before it's likely that I discovered it during my search about my hobbies / tutorials so I'd like to see their projects first if I'm interested in the said website.

I think if there's an Art section or some other clearly indicated project then I go there first, About comes second. Shrines also generally take priority, I wanna see what this user loves enough to make a whole shrine to it  :ozwomp:

It varies, but I typically want to learn more about the Webmaster(s) running the site so I'm often drawn to their about page or blog first. Sometimes I take a gander at their art gallery first if it's an art-focused site.

Quite interesting results. I guess I am a bit different from the majority. First thing I enter is either the gallery and ocs, or the links page. I am generally more interested in seeing, and discovering sites and cool links as well as peoples art and creations than most other things.

Interesting vote results! I almost always go for the About page, followed by the art page followed by the links page - all for similar reasons to what others have said above!

I keep a short-term per-page hit counter running and the most clicked tabs on my site tend to be (with the most clicked at the top and with more generic titles)

About page or graphics page. I'll check both if the site has both
