I have a very simple one


need to make a new once since i made this quite quicky mostly to have a button. I have some ideas but since i can't really draw it might take a while before i can do anything about this tbh.

The Badge of my Website, caused me to redesign my Logo to. Away from the Flat solid Color Design It used to be.

Am a bit proud of it, as I am not really Artistically Inclined

i'm kinda proud of mine lol
the process of me making it...
firstly i went onto Bulbapedia and picked out a screenshot from Platinum, i don't remember the city's name but it was from Platinum.
next, on the same site i took an image of the boy player character (because i thought it'd be easier to redraw over lol), traced his outline, filled the whole space in bright neon green (in KDE Kolourpaint, basically like MS Paint but for Linux) and went into GIMP to make the background transparent. then i cropped the screenshot of the city (to be 88x31, i didn't change any of the proportions or upscaled) and pasted in that character.
then i just... redrew over him? turned it into myself but in pixel art form. also in Kolourpaint. i drew another frame (moved the head down by a pixel and redrew the zeds) and then got the Microsoft terminal font (from an online source that i forgor), then styled my own letters that way.
then i put it all into EzGif and slowed it down a heck of a lot. tada i made the button :3

Some trivia: I originally made it as ANSI as a solid white rectangle to see if it was possible to get some specific dimensions with Moebius (in pixels, not in characters). I chose the lines and columns without much thought other than "something close to a button i guess", without measuring things at all. I was so accurate that the rectangle was 32x88 instead of 31x88, and it couldn't get any closer anyways since the characters are 16px tall.

So I then made that white rectangle into the green-and-teal rectangle with "AY3 NOW" you can see now.

I just made these; but when I finally popped them on my site they looked AWFUL. Blurry and horrible. I realised it was because my monitor is 4k so it's set to 200% scaling... I'm really pedantic about that kind of thing though, so ended up blowing up the buttons by 200% and setting their width/height via CSS instead.

I have NO idea if this butchers them on 1080p monitors (if anyone has one, let me know); but they look pixel perfect for me now at least ahha.
