This is a very cool thing oh my god!!!! 
Went ahead and made two Ad banners :) One for my website and one for my worldbuilding website (which is probably due for an update at this point tbh, haven't touched it in a minute)

...well looks like ublock blocks these Oh well (i whitelisted melonland because it's fine there's no Real Ads). it probably just gets anything labeled "banner" or "ad" or whatever lol. but hey if they aren't loading for someone that might be why
i mean i guess it does qualify as advertising in the looser sense that it's Promoting Things it just doesn't have the issues basically all "Real Ads" have (ie being really annoying and intrusive and collecting 100 million personal datas)
