Heck I dont wanna visit websites and find their feeds, I just want you to give them to me

Also, don't podcasts count?
There is a separate topic for podcasts, this one is just for text base RSS feeds!

I think RSS feeds are best used for sites which rarely have new posts. Like Kugee (razorback95.com), that old-style Windows entusiast. Definetly has an eye for the visuals of the early times and even produces videos with old equipment.

And you can stick Youtube channels in an RSS too, just change the channel ID to the one of your favourite channel. Looking like this:

On my FeedDemon app. I usually read the RSS feeds for forums.

Aside from that, I frequent the RSS feed for The Mod Archive

I mainly use RSS feeds for videos and forums at this point. The personal sites I'm currently following don't ever update that much, which reminds me that I should set up RSS feeds for my own site again.
I follow two RSS feeds for DameDaNeSpace. One for everyone's posts, and one for my friends' posts.
I follow MelonLand Forums, of course.
I follow heckscaper's RSS feed, which updates pretty slowly.
Same for the feed of owlyfans.
Razorback updates pretty regularly.
Pretty much everything else is video focused like with Pixelmusement and Accursed Farms. I think I used to have more written feeds on my older computers, but I either forgot to transfer them or they weren't active enough to keep on my new feed list.

Speaking of being new to RSS, what readers do you guys recommend?

Free Apps:
For Mac + iOS - NetNewsWire - OpenSource
For Windows + Linux - QuietRSS - OpenSource
For Android - I actually never found anything satisfactory so Id stick to desktop reading in this case. I ended up using one called Podcast Addict, its mostly for podcasts but also did RSS feeds.. but it kinda sucked...
* Also if you use the Thunderbird e-mail client - It has a built in RSS reader.
* The Vivaldi browser (which I recommend greatly) also has a built in RSS reader! (Might be a solution to the android issue as its also on android??)

There are also premium web based readers like NewsBlur - They have a free plan although they really want to charge you a monthly fee, but they will have good apps for all platforms and they will sync your feeds between apps. Annnddd Im tryna convince the crew at Yesterweb to host a free copy of FreshRSS for people which is like a self hosted version of NewsBlur

If your trying things out for the first time - Id suggest downloading one of the free apps and using it on your computer to see what its like; later you can explore more complex stuff like NewsBlur etc if you want to get deeper into it.

- More general feeds!!!

NASA Breaking News - https://www.nasa.gov/rss/dyn/breaking_news.rss
NASA Image of the Day - https://www.nasa.gov/rss/dyn/lg_image_of_the_day.rss
All feeds from DW News English (German news agency - really great global reporting!) - https://corporate.dw.com/en/rss/s-31500
Al Jazeera News English (Qatar news agency) - https://www.aljazeera.com/xml/rss/all.xml

- Some web people feeds:
Status.Cafe all status updates - https://status.cafe/feed.atom
Neon Kiosk (random updates from random web revival sites that use the kiosk :omg:k: ) - https://journal.miso.town/atom?url=https://kiosk.nightfall.city
History of the Web - https://thehistoryoftheweb.com/feed/
thmnwh's feed (the only person on neocities with a great active feed..) - https://thmnwhhsfld.neocities.org/feed.xml

ALSO Dreamwidth.org journals - you can get a feed on any dreamwith journal with: https://{NAME}.dreamwidth.org/data/atom
AND WordPress - any wordpress blog you can do /feed to get a feed of the wordpress site

Thank you for all the recommendations, Melooon! RSS is one of those technologies that I love and I'm always worried about it being dropped and getting phased out. I'm going to try out QuiteRSS and see how it works--the loss of Google's included RSS aggregator, or whatever tool they had back in the day before they killed it, really disappointed me.

This just unlocked something for me!! Thank you guys so much!!! This is amazing!!!!

I feel super late to the party but this is exactly what I needed. I feel so out of touch with stuff without social media but also don't want to check every single website all the time!
RSS was something I'd heard about and seen in my previous companys slack channels but I never knew it was still so widely used and usable!! This is so cool!!

PS: You actually can circumvent the nyt paywall with a handy extension for firefox!
