Yea, my dog passed away earlier this year :( the series this comic belongs to is actually dedicated to her, since it covers loss and grievance

And about lore, yes!! The robed character is called The Liminal, and he guides the dead to their respective afterlife. The masked character is named Covet. He's part of a clan which lives in the woods away from the rest of the world. He met Dog while on patrol and they soon became very close Dog can't speak other than just barks, so they communicate mostly nonverbally!!
