@BlazingCobaltX congratulations! you did it!! one (1) sincere compliment: even if it's "just a mockup", you fully executed the idea! there's the items, they're on the shelves, they're aligned with the image background! this is a great base for you to work from later when you have more time, and there's lots you can do to dress it up now that you have the basics done! one (1) sincere criticism: you've made more work for yourself than necessary by doing inline styling on every individual image instead of using css! put that in your stylesheet instead! instead of <img src="/images/telecaster.jpg" width=100px height=auto>
<img src="/images/surf.jpg" width=100px height=auto>
<img src="/images/daf.jpg" width=100px height=auto>
etc...
in the html, you can put #shelf img {width:100px;
height:auto;}
to apply width=100px and height=auto to all imgs in the "shelf" div. then you can just put your img srcs in and not bother with the resizing. also, it seems like i actually know how to do some of the stuff you want to do here with flex boxes and whatnot. if you'd like, i'd be happy to slap together a commented codepen with some more of the things you want, but i know it's also fun to figure out things on your own! (and, as you said, you don't have time at the moment!) (and it's not like i'm an expert or anything haha)

happy october every body! i hope that you had a good time being bad at things. corngrabulations to everybody who participated on making a goal and trying to accomplish it! @alexela64 and @greyskieshappymind : here are your certificates! you can have 1 compliment and 1 critique prizes (if you want them) once you give those to yourselves! "alexela64's certificate!" "greyskieshappymind's certificate!" @jack_dawlia and your certificate as well! "and your certificate as well!" one (1) compliment: i like a lot of things about this but here's one: the changing face smilies for the different mood levels is a really good touch! it's small but it feels like it really livens it up a lot more than just having one smile and one frown. very dynamic feeling. one (1) critique: i feel like the stats and thoughts change a bit too quickly, like as soon as i've read a thought it's changed already. a bit hectic! and now........ i get a certificate! compliment: the success stickers i think really add a bit of charm to the certificates. critique: i forgot to crosspost this anywhere......... i was mostly thinking of it as a "this forum event" due to the forum gifts aspect, but i think it would've been nice to crosspost on some other places so more people would have a chance to potentially participate. doing pixel art for the forum gifts was hard.... pixel art is HARD... but i'm glad i tried something new, and i'm glad that folks seemed to have a nice time. i set my expectations at 0, so it was a pleasant surprise that anybody showed up! yippee and hoorah as well. perhaps even huzzah! i think i will probably do it again next year, since i didn't really need to do all that much :P

@greyskieshappymind oops! truly living the sucking-at-things spirit by not replying to this for waaaay long. compliment: a more fleshed-out version of honey heist is a great idea i think! i personally found the super open-ended nature of the game kind of baffling, especially since the onepageness means it doesn't have play examples or a lot of detail, so i appreciate having more stuff to actually look at hahaha. critique: this is going to sound a bit facetious and i promise it isn't: it needs more bear pics! the somewhat-janky ink drawings of bears add a lot of handmade charm to the original, and without any kind of fun bear pictures this feels quite dry. hope your october is going well! sorry for the tardiness.
