Obligatory 'i dont actually know' disclaimer but for the past year, I've been really relating to posts/content I see about being therian since I've always felt a bit disconnected from humanity ever since I was a kid. I was that kid who always wanting to pretend to be an animal or some manner of creature. Wherever it is that I fall under the umbrella I know it has to do with dragons since they've been my all-time favorite thing for like...ever lmao. Hell, I had a hard time connecting with my sona until I bit the bullet and made her a dragon!

Here's hoping I can keep this semi-serious.

So yeah. Totally me. I find that the way that gender identity, species identity, and everything else really all kinda ball together in such a weirdly fascinating way. For example, as a femme-boddied and identifying individual, I find that contextual pronouns such as It/Its only work in the same way you would refer to an animal or object for me. From a psychological perspective I find this truly interesting.

That being said I tend to keep it to myself unless in offline spaces. My fiance is aware and he is super supportive, but I cant imagine being super publicly facing about my neurodivergent queer identity also falling into the non-human spectrum (
though that feels kinda fake to say given I only interact with others irl who either are respectful of me not really feeling human, or arent entirely human IDing themself).
So yeah. Dog... rat... creature. Life has made a lot more sense to me when I stopped trying to live my private life at home as a performative charade of normal human. Not to mention way more enjoyable.

Never be afraid to be you, especially in your own homes, folks.
