i'm usually not one to remember my dreams very well - if at all - but there is a small snapshot, if you will, from one that i remember. i was still a little kid at the time, and i was lost in the supermarket, presumably attempting to find my parents, but i was being chased by emperor zurg from toy story. i think i eventually found the two guys from zoboomafoo willing to help me after unsuccessfully hiding behind a tower of soda cases. my memory of it ends there; this dream was from twenty years ago now ha

I only really remember my dreams and nightmares if they have something really memorable or traumatic in them. Not necessarily in a bad way, mind you.

My first nightmare I can remember was a long, long time ago, I think when I was in elementary school. I was sitting on the edge of this purple platform that was floating in the middle of a void. It reminds me of a Mario 64 level, which it probably was, since I was playing Mario 64 DS at the time. Behind me there was a roller coaster of some kind. Then suddenly, I fall off the side of the platform. Yeah, one of those falling dreams. But the one thing I remember so vividly was that at the end of the dream, right before I woke up, my entire vision cut to the painting of Lethal Lava Land with a loud noise like a jumpscare.

I still have no idea what this means, or if it even has any meaning.

There was this one really weird dream where I was lying in my real bed, then someone threw a keyboard at my face and I woke up. I swear I could hear the clang echo in my ears for a few seconds after, and I was so confused  :ok:

The first dream that I remember is me being a cat in my grandma's house, and I was being chased around by my cousins.

It was so vivid, the environment, the people and the feeling of sprinting feels very realistic. It almost felt like a vision from my past life... Or was I actually my grandma's cat in my previous life? Who knows  :ha:

I'm not sure what you mean by "first dream" but i still remember the VERY VERY first nightmare i had when i was 4 years old

Trigger warning: body horror
Basically in the dream, there was a brand of evil, skull-shaped popcorn that was being sold in stores that would turn anyone who ate it into a monster. I remember eating it in my dream and it gave me teeth that protruded out of the sides of my face (bit of a niche reference but think perfect dark gaia from sonic unleashed) though my extra teeth would just easily break off

My earliest dream was one I don't remember, but my dad wrote it down. I was jumping from mountain to mountain, and I jumped so high I went into outer space and dove into the ocean. As for my earliest "nightmare" (I do remember this one), there were some little girls opening a door that I didn't want them to open. Then everything went black and I saw an image of a scared skeleton (he was scared at the door). I was just kinda confused when I woke up.

The first dream I can remember happened when I was 4 years old. In that dream, I was in a glass elevator at one of the malls I visited from time to time as a kid (R.I.P. to that mall, as it closed in 2019, though the actual building structure is still up and a local university bought the building out last time I checked) I looked down and saw the water fountain and some green jelly beans, for some reason. Then I woke up from that dream early in the morning and watched Oobi and Oswald on Nick Jr after waking up but before I had to get ready for preschool later that morning.

As for nightmares, I thankfully haven't had too many of them, as the vast majority of my dreams just fall into the plain bizarre category and haven't really caused me any distress upon waking up, though I guess the first actual "nightmare" I've had (or at least that I can recall) happened to me once when I was 10 1/2 years old, taking a nap during the evening, and was extremely vivid. It was a super weird dream that started off with me in the alleyway between my old apartment building and the hotel that sat right behind it, on a chilly day (or so it felt like in my dream) with a blanket wrapped around me and all, just standing there and slowly walking towards a dumpster which then spontaneously combusted before I had turned around to see 2 familiar faces, which of course were 2 of my dolls, scaled up to human size and had come to life, and having a conversation with one another. I walked towards them, wanting to see what they were talking about and join in on their conversation, but when I did, they brushed me off and ignored me. I stood there disappointed and confused for a minute before walking back towards the dumpster.

Now here's where the nightmare part actually begins: As I was walking towards the dumpster, some black walls suddenly appeared out of nowhere and were slowly closing in on me. I wasn't sure what was going on, but before I knew it, I was trapped inside of a box, a transparent glass box, before it turned back to black and ended up in what I can only describe as the "void of nothingness". I was terrified, and tried to find my way out of said void of nothingness before the box turned transparent again and finally let me out in some very distorted version of Downtown Disney (my folks and I took trips down to Disneyland almost every year in May as a kid in real life prior to the COVID-19 pandemic) that for some reason, had a petting zoo with animals behind pens that looked exactly like the wooden ride queue things used for Splash Mountain at Disneyland and signs up saying "please do not feed the animals". In addition, throughout the entire dream, I did feel physical pain as I was dreaming.

By that part of the dream, I was scorching and it was blazing hot out (or again, so it felt like to me) and then someone in a Tinkerbell costume came up to me, talked to me, and then pulled me aside, eventually having me lay and take a nap in a large wagon by a bench, all the while she appeared to be trying to soothe and comfort me. I woke up right after that part of the dream exhausted, drenched in my own sweat, and all of my muscles being very sore and achy (especially the ones in my limbs).
