Hello, I have appeared!

Hello and nice to meet y'all!

I'm Myry, I was born in the late 90s and I'm glad to be here

I found this site through Neocities a few weeks ago, and been thinking about joining ever since. I was crazy about making websites already when I was like 9yo, and I used to make these different fan websites and virtual pet sites a lot at the time. Then slowly, around the age 14-15 my interest died out, around the same time I stopped seeing unique websites around me, and everything started to migrate towards social media platforms.

The last couple of years I've been really sick of social media, it's just not enjoyable experience for me anymore... I'm really happy I stumbled upon Neocities because I feel very much at home with the concept of bringing the Old Web back, with its quirky aesthetics and free expression. I honestly hope to completely migrate to forums again, I always loved the concept so much more.

Most of my website skills have become really rusty, so it's probably gonna take a bit for me to get really started, haha. But I'm super excited to learn all the tools again, and share the wonders of the web with you folks!

Besides web stuff, I'm really into video games and I'm a developer myself (you can find me from https://myry.itch.i:ha: but I don't really have much to show there yet), digital art and animation are very close to my heart too. I listen to a lot of music, mostly prog rock from the 70s, and I like to read books as well, mostly scifi/fantasy and non-fiction. I also love wizards and cranberry juice!!

(also just wanted to say that this website is so goddamn cute and the little icons are absolutely delightful ;;w;; )
