the ability to create folders and categorize one's own art & faves?

I totally agree with this one; but I think I might need to take a break first before tackling it Initially the plan was that tags would have this function, but people are not using them how I expected, so having a more formal folder creation system would be a better solution.

(also to explain: the reason I was able to launch this so fast was because I found some old forum gallery code, mostly from 2006, and I was able to do some serious retrofitting to turn it into the art hub; however there are still a lot of clunky parts and badly designed code I have to work around; it never had a folder system and the tag system it did have is clunky at best ~ but we are getting there!)

I'm currently working on a revamped theme for art hub, and that'll be the last BIG change for a bit since I really need to get back to some other projects too!!

Otherwise, I think I've at least completed or addressed most of the requests here! Keep em coming though, it's really useful to hear what people need!

Minor thing, but could you maybe put the upload image on the same page as the tagging field? I find it easier to write out tags when I can see the image in front of me.

Super fun! I've plopped this up onto my Neocities, and it looks great. One small quibble- apostrophes seem to break on the display. For example, 'I'm' in the artist comments turns into 'I'm' when viewed on my site. Is there a workaround for this?

Fixed! Also added support for smilies and made the default description text align to the left (a bit torn if it should align: justify instead!)

Thanks so much- it's working great on my end! Also, I think left alignment is a bit easier to read due to the variation of line length, but it's not a major difference between left or justified for me.

The embed gallery is super cool and love how it's laid out. I don't have use for it atm, but It will come in handy. <:

I don't think this was addressed yet, I found a bug regarding the keyword system. I have digital art x2 and original character x2. I triple-checked that it's the exact same format and it just doesn't go away.

It would also be cool to have a scrollable keyword list, I use them to organize my art! It reaches the bottom and cuts off at the bottom of the screen.

I haven't seen many other people upload animated gifs (I was only able to find 1 more upon searching) but it looks like gif previews are super corrupted It's only the thumbnails though, the full images are totally fine. It looks like this in the gallery and my own profile. Spoilered for flashing images:

I thought the corrupted version was kinda cool But I agree it's not really acceptable, I pushed a fix to let gifs bypass the thumbnail generator for now! Your image should show up correctly!

So far I'm really enjoying the Gallery feature of the forums, however can I make a suggestion? Granted it could be moot if one puts warnings on their website but still.

If it's possible in any sort of manner whatsoever, do you think you'd be able to add like, a small warning image/thumbnail over art that is marked as mature content? If not would it be possible to blur it?

I feel it would be handy for the people who don't wanna see mature content in the gallery or at least KNOW before clicking on the art that there's mature content behind it.

It could also be handy for the embedded version since I use it on my site for the gallery page.

On the Art Hub itself there is though It goes away for a while after you agree to view a mature image but it comes back again after a while! (Unless you mean somewhere else?)


For embeds, you can toggle off mature images in the embed, and potentially add an alternative link that includes them for your visitors with a warning if you deem it necessary on your site. A dynamic blur feature though is a good idea to add in the future!

I think it'll only accept gifs and stills atm; I added the category but it assumed you'll upload a still and link the video with the optional url box; eventually I'll try and make it so it auto embeds the url video in the artwork viewer!

Also re-size - as small as is reasonable for the artwork to not loose its artworkness; we have about 50GB of storage left on the server and costs will go up a lot when we hit that!

Oops I almost made the server explode  good thing I took it down asap. Yeah I think I'll do the still & link approach, I don't mind using GIFs but in this particular personal case sound is needed. Thank you for your prompt response (sorry that sounded out of a formal mail)
