I. Love. Animal Crossing!
My first experience was on the Wii. (I like the title we have in England, "Let's Go To The City" more than "
City Folk"

) Me, my mum and my sister all had characters on it and we would all play daily. Back then the concept of choosing your residents was beyond us so we got really attached to every single one. The pain and agony of watching my sister play and do the daily chores like collect fossils... just so I could have my go before school. The bell tree forums were also my first ever experience with online communities which is cool to think about. I still play every now and then on an emulator because it is so deeply linked into my childhood.
My sister owned
Wild World and I would watch her play when she would let me. Sometimes I would steal her DS and create myself a character but she would always delete it because she didn't want me sleeping in her characters bedroom.

My love for the game increased so much more with the release of
New Leaf. My sister got a 3DS first so I would play on her character when she wasn't around. Eventually got my own 3DS and it was so much fun. I used to spend all my free time on JVGS Jeff's Quora forum discussing the game and finding people to spend time with.
I love the Amiibo cards so much. I have a little collection with cards from each series, I even bagged myself the Sanrio cards!! One of my goals in life is to get all the official binders (I only have 1) and fill them all up.

I have a shelf next to my TV dedicated to the Amiibo figures too. Controversial opinion, but I loved
Amiibo Festival so much and probably have hundreds of hours on it. Maxxed out everything on it except Amiibo outfits.
Happy Home Designer is such an amazing idea. I'm honestly still shocked we got it. I never finished it but it was nice to go and play every now and then.
I got my Wii U way too late to experience
Plaza but I love watching the videos online...!
I played so much
Pocket Camp when it first came out that I burnt out. I always felt sad that I never went back to it. I did end up buying
Pocket Camp Complete and transferred my data but it's all too overwhelming for me to get back into.
New Horizons is good, sure, I played it so much considering it came out in lockdown. I probably quit about a year in when I realised I actually enjoyed the first week the most and a lot of my favorite features were missing. I loved the Happy Home Paradise DLC so much! I don't even go back to New Horizons like I do with City Folk and New Leaf.
I really want to buy a GameCube and play through the original game, it looks so pleasing and simple!
Long post, but yeah, if anyone ever wants to talk about Animal Crossing please overwhelm me with it.
