hihi! I made this webring a few months ago and have just been slow in promoting it

it's the Fandom Webring - a webring for anyone who considers themselves in fandom!

there's a page for rules (pretty chill if I do say so myself), an "about" page for what I consider 'being in fandom' (self-identified), and a list of ideas and resources for anyone in fandom who's considering making a website to join the webring but doesn't know where to start

Hello! I'm not 100% on the way webrings are meant to work or if there are expectations around how to go about them. But I have a website here I'm working on. Please be mindful that I'm still editing, I'm using a template and some of the original links were a little sus. I haven't replaced them all yet, so just don't click around too much! 

But I was wondering if it was alright to just link to your page on my main page? Over in the corner where it says "webrings"?

I should probably add that my site isn't fandom-specific, unless scene subculture counts lol. But there's fandom content all through it and more specifically I am encouraging people to get into fandom through my site.

@dietcokeorchoke hi! sorry i didn't have notifications for this thread on, i only saw this just now. i see that you've retired your web project, but if you ever decide to return you're totally welcome to link it without joining, if you'd like! you can also join even if you website is not fandom-focused, the fannish part is just about the webmaster.

I'm a part and I want you to say thank you for making this webring. I really enjoy being a part of it and I'm so glad that fandom on the "indie/small web" is still a huge thing! Fandom has been my main hobby for a very long time, but these days a lot of people call it cringe and embarrassing OR they involve themselves in it while belittling basic aspects of it at the same time. Fandom internet is not perfect by any means but I do have a strong interest in it, especially pre 2010s fandom internet. So this is great :) And thank you for implementing a guideline against fandom policing while still including anti-bigotry senitments.
