how many browser tabs do you generally keep open?

when i'm at my pc i typically have around 25~ tabs open at any given time. i've been told on numerous time it's excessive, however i tend to be multitasking so it feels justified for my use case! i also happen to be someone who multitasks across many apps at once too ^^;.

i was wondering how many tabs my fellow forum users tend to have open at a given time, and maybe even why if you have a reasoning behind it.
as an additional aside, while i am primarily asking about desktop browser use rather than mobile, i find that on mobile it's a lot easier to accumulate a very high amount of tabs. i tend to have well over 200+ tabs open since i browse a lot less on my phone, and whenever i am sent a link via message i just open it and never close it.

Really just anywhere from 3-5 usually. More if I'm researching something but on average it kinda stays within those limits.

Always funny whenever someone would come to me complaining about how their phone's browser was acting so slow, I open their browser and see the lil tab thing has a "99+" on it. To each their own though! I can see why some find that helpful/cozy.

It definitely depends on the computer I'm using - my work computer generally has about 7-10 tabs open at standby so that I can easily access the most common stuff that I need to be able to view, but that can climb to 20+ depending on what I'm working on. My home PC generally stays around 6-10, with over half of those being tabs that are pinned for me to visit every day or two.

Back in the day I used to run about 50-60 tabs that I'd keep stacked in Vivaldi, with each different stack being specific (i.e. one would be entirely manga scans, another would be entirely youtube videos that I would jump between), but those days are far behind me.

it varies. right now it's just 4: my linkding site (bookmarks), my freshrss feed reader site, and 2 bricklink tabs (one is new lego releases and one is the page for a bricklink designer program set i want to buy when crowfinding opens, mushroom village). 

i always leave my bookmarks and rss feed tabs open though.

Too, too many. Much more than I need and its over due for pruning. Let's leave it at that as I tend to go down rabbit holes or need to open more than a few for research.

I've recently tried to move more of the tabs I leave open to my site or bookmarks, so right now it's "only" 10 tabs or so. The add2site bookmark folder is basically overflowing, though..

I tend to have 6-9 open now, but I used to be really bad about having 10-20 tabs open all the time. I realized it was stressing me out, so I got a tab limiter extension for my browser, which keeps me from opening more than ten

I try to keep my tabs as few as possible, because seeing my entire tab bar full of tabs fills me with anxiety. Many tabs also tend to slow the browser down.
