Hello Everyone, Målingen Here.

I was wondering if anyone here has ever listened to the German electronica band "Kraftwerk"? I believe last year I got into them and they've been my favorite electronic band of all time, especially as a person who was born in Germany, yet forced to live in the US (for now.) If you haven't, I highly recommend them as they're the pioneers of nearly all electronic music and has been sampled hundreds upon thousands of times since the 70s.

Wir fahr'n, fahr'n, fahr'n, auf der Autobahn...~

Yeah, absolutely! I grew up listening to them here and there, as my dad was German and into electronic. Very much an early influence of my current tastes :4u:

Omg, kraftwerk is one of my favourite bands, I totally love them! I got into them years ago, I don't exactly remember when anymore, but they became a fave almost instantly.

I have, big fan of them. I wonder if they're still active, retired or straight up dead, though.
To be fair, they sound much more futuristic than like 90% of current music despite being from the 70s, maybe even 60s.

They I think are still active? Or were semi recently, although one of their members passed away a few years ago.

I was wondering if anyone here has ever listened to the German electronica band "Kraftwerk"?

My late father had a bunch of their albums from the 1970s, so I grew up listening to Kraftwerk as a kid in the 1980s, among other stuff. It's good stuff, and pioneering work besides, but I'm more of a jazz fusion/prog rock/heavy metal guy.

One of my favourite bands for the last 50 years! I didn't really take much notice of them until Autobahn was released in 1974.

I got to see them a couple of times, at the Man-Machine gig (about 1979) they lowered these keypad things into the audience which controlled how their keyboards sounded for a couple of songs.
