HELLO! HI! i am happy to be here... gah, forums are so cool.  i'm 18 so i don't have experience with the "old web", as they say, but i remember joining the internet on the back-end of that sort of era- does anyone remember the roblox forums? rest in peace 
ANYWAYS.
i'm kind of chronically online, but i want to learn better internet habits, and instead of arguing (on twitter), having positive discussions with people about cool things like the small web and (new?) net-art!

Hi Lily! Glad to meet you!

Your mention of the Roblox Forums brought back some memories I'd buried deep! It was there I had one of my first experiences with roleplaying online—unfortunately, it was 2008, and eight- or nine-year-old me didn't yet have any kind of understanding about how it worked. I chimed in with a message that basically rewrote the whole premise of the RP scenario, making myself the main character, and was rightfully ignored by the other bemused forum regulars.

I can see your website is temporarily closed for renovation, but I'm excited to see how it progresses! I'm just about to get back into editing mine after about four or five months away from the Indie Web. I hope you have a great time here and enjoy getting into the swing of things!

What sort of net-art are you interested in?

I have somehow never heard of net art but it seems exactly like the kinda stuff I could get with I make creepy internet style art all the time though I think my style is closer to horrorcore more than anything else
