Have you ever visited a cat cafe? :3c

I'm about to visit my very first one later today! I was really excited when I learned that one was opening near me. very much looking forward to hanging out with some foster kitties!! 

has anyone else here visited a cat cafe? & if not, would you ever want to visit one?

I'm jealous    I'd love to visit a cat cafe one day. But that's not even a thing anywhere near me and I can't drive or travel. I can't even visit shelters, we don't have any nearby either. (Yes, awfully boring area I live in)

I love cats deeply, hopefully I get to experience it one day. In the meantime, I enjoy watching other people visit cat cafés

my sisters really like cat cafes, and I will never understand why we have 3 cats at home! and It didn't mean much to me to see a bunch of stray cats when I already had cats at home

they charged like 10 or 20 dollars for every 30 minutes, which is crazy!!!!

The cats are separate from the area where your allowed to drink coffee so you have to do one or the other or if you really want to do both, you have to do them separately no food or drink is allowed around the cats

all the cats are strays or cats that come from shelters that couldn't stay and if you get attached to one of the cats they allow you to adopt them and they even have a crock board showing all the pictures of people who have adopted cats with the cat they adopted and what they named the cat

its weirdly very quite in the coffee area and the interior design is very relaxing and since the ceiling is so low it feels very calming and enveloping and there are cool activity books that are there that you can write in when your bored!

I was actually shocked when I learned about the one opening near me--because I also thought I'd never get the chance to visit one because it would involve traveling too long of a distance. I'm super grateful that one did open closeby (& now that I've returned from my visit, I can happily share pics of some of the foster kitties I met!!  )

there was actually a 'cat book' available with all of the cats names, personalities, & adoption information listed... but I unfortunately didn't think to make a note of all of these cats names!  the names I do remember were very cute tho (there was one big boy named 'Gravy' that my friends & I fell in love with, lol!)

these particular guys were SO sweet (& sleepy <33), but there were also several playing w/ their toys/other guests that I didn't manage to photograph :D

this cat cafe I visited was set up in a very similar way! although thankfully ours didn't charge QUITE so much (~$15 per hour, which I was totally willing to pay for something I had been looking forward to + the novelty factor if nothing else lol  )

this one also did allow guests to bring drinks into the cat area (but no food)! I was a little surprised to hear that, but the entire area was kept very clean & I was happy to see the employees keeping on top of kitty messes etc. there were also pathways for the cats to leave into a separate 'no visitors' area if they wanted to be alone/take a break from guests as well, which I thought was wonderful (although I'm not sure if that's just the norm for cat cafes--it definitely seems like something that should be!)

& as I mentioned before, all of these kitties also were up for adoption--if I didn't already have 3 other kitties at home, I would have been very tempted to bring one of the cat cafe cuties home w/ me 

(I LOOOOVE Remy!!!  her elegant little face! :D I'd like to gently squeeze her floofy paws, but that seems like something that would offend her lol!  )

She is so fluffy that picture was my favorite of her I'm glad you had fun

remy is a very strange cat she doesn't like to be held or picked up and she only likes to be pet some of the time and she doesn't play at all her breed is mostly meant to be eye candy but she is still very sweet to me if you ever get a cat then you should consider not buying her breed bc they are kinda expensive breed of cat that's mostly meant to be fancy for cat shows and things like that she would hate for you to mess with her paws but they are the softes spot of her fur and shes such a cute kitty so I understand that she usually stays in my room shes more my cat than anyone else's and she does love to hop on my lap when I'm browsing the web

Those kitties look so peaceful, I imagine they have such relaxed lives where they live

& those earrings sound darling!! next time I visit our cat cafe (which I already know there will be a next time--I enjoyed it so much!!), I need to take time to take a closer look at their goods for sale. when checking in my group was admiring some of the local art on display, but I think we were all too focused on meeting the kitties to stop & consider buying anything else this trip

Aw you're lucky!! Happy for you. Thanks for sharing these wonderful pictures, they look soooo comfy and sweet. A cat book? Now that's awesome. Definitely something I would read

i wish....
in this country there was only ever one single cat cafe and it instantly shut down,
then an instagram and tiktok page for another popped up one day, it looked super legit and them BAM. turns out it was someone's school project where they had to come up with a fake business or something....
and the crazy part is that, to this day, there are people still commenting on the pages like 'hey where is this? is it open? i wanna come. pleasse. please.'
