Hello this is a discussion group for Tamagotchi keepers! How is your Tamagotchi doing? Do you have any tips for keeping them alive? Have you made any tama-mistakes? Please report!

Here is my current Tamagotchi, his name is Basket ~ he's 5 years (days) old and so far I have not fed him any cake because aparently my last one died because I fed them cake and it was really upsetting and I didn't restart for a year

Basket is super cute! I've been meaning to run some of my classic Tamagotchis again recently, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Here's my current Tama, which is on the Tamagotchi Pix Party. I've been running this pretty constantly for the past few months because I'm trying to see how many generations I can get on it (I was over 10, and then unfortunately one of them died. This one is gen 5).

Oh nice! A tamagotchi topic!

I had been running a G2 for a bit, but just at the end of last month I picked up an Evatchi Nano (based off of the anime Evangelion) that has been a nice chill experience and very content rich for how small and simple it is. I personally like the LCD screen tamas, and am not too interested in online play so I gravitate towards the Originals (like your Basket, @Melooon), the Connections, and now the Nanos.

I think I'll be sticking with the Evatchi for a while since it has so many different kinds of Angels you can grow your worm into, the sound effects are nice (it uses the same sounds as the Connection, which I think are the best out of all devices), it's very small and easy to travel with, and is very very low maintenance. Also the games are legitimately fun and challenging.

I don't have many tips when it comes to raising tamagotchis, though I do know that with the new release of the Originals (G1 and 2) that you can't feed your pet any cake at all or else it dies almost instantly. It's a weird bug that Bandai hasn't bothered to code out of any new releases, so it's just best not to raise happiness with cake/candy and focus on the games.

i'm currently running my connection re-release and babysititng my little sister's since she doesn't want to take it to school (i really wish she did though i just want to take care of my own) and i have megatchi on mine (sadly she looks like a racist characture so i'm waiting to marry her off). her name is seven

i might take a break from the connection and go back to my pix with my forever tama, violetchi, i miss her and kinda miss using the pix despite how big it is and how i carry the damn thing on a carabiner

and though both dead i also have a p1 re-release and an angel re-release

i'd show photos but i'm on my pc rn and i don't like looking at megatchi

My partner and I got Tamagotchi Paradise together and were having a blast for a while! That's not to say we still aren't, we just haven't played with the little guys in a bit. I was honestly surprised that she was interested, usually I'm the one obsessed with little gadgets and vpet toys. :P

I have a G1 re-release that I bust out every once in a while when I want to take care of something simpler. But my Digimon Vpet collection is much bigger.

I have a decent amount of Tamas, though I haven't played with many of them in a minute (I've been playing with the Paradise currently). I sometimes ebb and flow with how often I decide to play with them lol

i have a tamagotchi/v-pet collection as well, which is on my dedicated collection page here! i've been collecting for about 7 years now - i didn't actually grow up with v-pets, so it's a hobby i've gained in adulthood! i mostly collect tamagotchi, but i'm also super into the sumikko gurashi v-pets.
