(sorry for two topics in one sitting ;-_- but hopefully this is okay !)


i've been worldbuilding in my head for a whiiile now and various things change. if anything the whole thing could be a video game or something lmao.

for instance it's the largest world where most of my OCs live. some live on asteroids and moons nearby, with one who came from neihbouring galaxies. a couple probably come from neighbouring solar systems, like Kepler and things.

it's so complex there's a lot and i'll only talk about one part here.

species i guess
they're basically like real life species but stanger.

in a big large park greenhouse - one that's last been deeply cleaned a century ago but still gets some people to investigate it - has strange venus fly traps, known as "venisuan monsters" or "venisuan flytraps". they're like fly traps, only ranging a lot in size, colour, and patterns ; and some can walk, they prey on humans and other animals.

in it has various good resources for whatever, but usually more to do with witchcraft and potion making. though it's dangerous to go in - there's occasionally a huge, metallic wasp species that can nest inside the large tower at the top (inspired by beedrills from Pokemon) where the queen is more intricate, has more needles, and can inject venom like a hose that's pierced you.

youkai and monsters exist but for the most part they're non dangerous. most would only be dangerous if provoked.

the world itself
talking about the main planet, not the other things in space nearby.

it's like Earth - same size, but the continents are actually all in one gigantic supercontinent, albeit with modern-day variation in biomes and things. there are islands of course - the largest island is off the coast of a peninsula, in which is part of a chain massive archipelago that tails out into smaller islands and islets.

there's a huge sea, in which it's been a massive lake many times in the past due to the sea being blocked from accessing the sea.
it has a couple entries/exists to the superocean, though they have the possibility to dry up due to their area being unstable.
it's more unstable due to modern unsustainable practices done by humans, regular humans that is. many have known not to be reckless with the environment, but lots don't understand or care in the first place.

there are human settlements in various parts of the supercontinent, with varying populations and cultures.
the largest settlement is in one of those unstable regions i just described - 14 million people, that megacity declared it's its own country now. though "countries" here more mean "regions" - the whole supercontinent would look almost nonexistent if we had a pure geopolitcal map, as the only true "countries" are broken up and very sparse, as most of humanity hasn't progressed further than medieval or even tribal times.

just the first part to this all it's really fun to put into words !!

another part.

usually anything i daydream of is mushed into this world.

a huge tower
"tower" not really a proper tower.

it's built on top of a dense cluster city (clustercity? cluster-city? 'cluster' slang short for it??) and it's top is similar to a domed mushroom cap -- but it's above clouds, only peaking with the whole floor a bit above the clouds, the clouds being a little below the whole top.

it's top's roof is a hexagonal pattern - imagine a hexagonal checkerboard, kinda.
it's got pure solid metal (or 3D printed plates? whatever they are) which look like fur, but gigantic. and there's glass for other plates.
the structure was at some point an art project, but it was quickly forgotten. while it did strike some attention in some news sources, nobody ever really mentioned it nor cared about it. it was an underground art project anyways which was taken on by a smaller group of people, mostly if not entirely 3D-printed all the structural components and made it themselves.

at the top, the floor mimics hardwood. there's some seats, it's comfy, and there's some books on small bookshelves, and there's a large TV screen that's usually off.
the main source of light is from the sun, but there's some non-harsh LED lighting, which has a couple of preset modes - "warm" (for more warmer lighting) and "pure white" (for solid white lighting). usually the warmer lighting is used.
it was made a little closer to tropical latitudes, though it's still quite cool up there. averaging at around ~19 degrees celsius up there usually. (okay to me that's freezing because of my climate but it may not be super cool it's up to you to tell lol)

it's a component i just daydreamed of but it's pretty nice to chill in.
it's hard to physically get there since there's a bunch of buildings surrounding it, and it's mostly just visible from a maps application up above, and it's also not the most visible thing in the world.

a big light tower
this turns on during the night, because someone thought "there's no sun so that's a problem" without thinking people SLEEP.
well whatever, people can just sleep elsewhere anyways. it's not like they actually GO OUT. (they do but the company making this didn't think this through)

it requires a lot of power and it turns on every single night, so basically when there's less natural light it turns on. it can even turn on during storms/cyclones if it gets dark enough, and same with solar eclipses. though usually at these levels (and at twilight) it's a bit dimmer - it doesn't just turn on straight into an eye-searing artificial sun.

it has lots of white LEDs and the tower is meant to act as an artificial sun. it's also powered by nuclear energy.

the cluster city
the city itself used to be similar to modern-day megacities, but they realised they could just build compact instead of out.

it's extremely dense and in some cases there are buildings built on top of each other. there's hallways and parks above and below and in-between buildings meant to simulate how modern-day parks and walking tracks are.

space colonisation
the world itself is pretty corrupt -- the big cities full of humans became unstable, humanity in general was in an unrest state, and so some people made some beings that could be sent off into space with little regard for their feelings or consent.

(i've spoilered these since it would've made each post a huge wall in length. these are to compact the post ^_^)

species
first there's "two" (or three) categories of species:

human-likes
similar to humans or literally humans, for example nekos (kemonomimi in general), humans, cyborgs, etc.
humans with little difference or are literally just humans fit into this category.

humanoids
anthros, furries, and androids/humanoid robots.
this is usually split into anthros and robots for easier seperation and organisation, but both fall into this main category.

non-humanoids
usually these are literal animals, different robots, and whatever else. typically cleaning robots and cute DIY robots fall into this category, but it's not limited to just those.
it's for anything that's not in the shape of a humanoid, so basically non-bipedal creatures and/or artificial forms.

backstory
some multi-billionnaires had thought of immoral ideas of making sentient beings in unethical ways. however let's not talk about that in depth too much, but basically -- eventually these billionaires forgot about them, and they realised a lot of things.

these beings formed groups, alliances in some ways, and came to the conclusion that they were more capable than most humans.
some open-minded humans were okay with them, and they also joined. and many of these come from various different countries, some of which speak English well, while others are only able to partially speak English, though to be fair they're fairly new and still figuring themselves out.

space colonisation period

this was when humanity was in deep trouble with social unrest, incivility, bigotry and all that.

this group of people -- actually several groups, but they all teamed up to form one large group at some stages -- agreed there were plenty of places in space to settle on. and it was interesting too, many were simply excited for the experience, while others thought to settle a colony on some.

several pods were launched from Earth, in which cargo pods looked different to people (by "people" i mean any of these sentient beings, not strictly humans) pods looked different, to make it easier in general to differentiate the two. to make it less confusing.
cargo pods were more polygonal-looking, had a different paint style, and had in big bold text "CARGO" written on their sides; while people pods were smaller, typically just a big parachute in the nose of the pod, and smaller hydrogen-powered low-power thrusters that activated when out of Earth's gravity entirely.

this ended up forming a colony on Mars, while some wanted to try the Moon, they all settled on just Mars simply because it's larger and has more gravity. and also isn't a radiation death zone on the surface.
but -- they started digging into the ground, forming huge holes, but this was to fill with buildings and structures.

out on the surface is simply too dangerous to even think of living on there. underground, cities started forming, caves turned into tunnels, and it was easy to control the environment. and dust storms weren't prevelent down there.
many people in the cities were civillians -- these were just regular people not part of the whole colonisation job.

on the tops of said structures peeked out to the surface, usually in the forms of domes.
some were high in altitude, some were on mountains/volcanoes, while others were low-lying near the ground. these had extra protection against dust storms and it's usually advised to only stay there for brief periods of time before having to go back down.

among many of these were observatories, radars, solar farms, wind farms and many others. this was a massive colonisation effort conducted with careful planning -- and they observed the Earth.
they noticed huge grey clouds shroud the whole planet, and there were many alarming news articles online. then it turned quieter.
on Mars it was safe, but they knew this would end up happening...
