I want to make a fursuit and hacking consoles again. Making a fursuit is cheaper than commissioning one, but it's a matter of free time and gathering materials. What stops me from getting back into the latter is my 2DS's charging port chipped. It works fine, but can't charge. When the battery dies, it dies. It'll cost money to repair it or buy a new one and re-install my CFW on it. :(

Stop motion, definitely! Clay isn't cheap, so that has always made getting into it seem really daunting to me. There's also the problem with needing time to do it, but I'm hoping that someday I'll be able to be patient enough to do it little by little each day. And even if I can't do it with clay, it might still be fun to do with dolls or any weird toys I come across.

i would really like to get into sewing, cosplay, and cosplay making!!!

about a year ago i started watching a youtuber by the name of Sarah Spaceman, she vlogs her and her friends goofing around and having fun at cosplay conventions and shares some pretty funny/interesting contest and convention stories, but some of my favorite videos of hers are the ones where she documents her process of making beautiful intricate cosplays by hand!!!

since then ive really been into the idea of making my own cosplays since it can be pretty fun and rewarding to make an entire outfit from scratch, (i do acknowledge it can be quite time consuming...) but also because it can usually be a lot easier on ones bank account haha. it also really got me into the idea of going to cosplay conventions, its an event full of people dressed as their favorite characters and itd be super nice (and pretty easy) to find others who like the same media/characters that you do!!

ive been into cosplay since i was a younger teenager and i did sew a bit when i was a kid, but i havent touched a sewing needle in ages and i only recently got my first cosplay. well-made cosplays cost way too much money for me at the moment and id like to get my own sewing machine too!!! my grandmother had this super cute light pink sewing machine that she used to repair clothing all the time when i was little, id love to find an identical one!! :ha: id also like to get some cuter fabric patterns online that u wouldnt find at a jo-anns or something....

I’d love to get into making my own fursuits too! Ive started watching a lot more fursuit content since sometime earlier this year or later last year and it’s really been itching away at my brain lol. I’d just love to have fursuits of my own fursonas and ocs and even characters from furry adjacent media that I enjoy! I guess really the only thing that is stopping me is fear of failure and also the cost and fear of losing motivation.

I think at some point I’ll just have to lock in and do all of the necessary research into things like modelling a foam base, finding high quality materials and other technical skills. As well as find a suitable and manageable timeframe for me to dedicate myself to such an intensive project.

I’d also love to get into more general cosplay too honestly as there’s a handful of human characters from media that I enjoy a lot too and see myself in. I’ve always thought about customising my own clothes before too just in general as it sounds fun. :seal:

Some of my hypothetical hobbies in this situation would include collecting 1800s-1950s furniture, appliances, stamps, posters/art, silverware/plates, and similar items; collecting realistic full-head animal masks; creating my own realistic full-head animal mask of my fursona, Roger; creating plushies and figurines, especially of my characters; sculpting; creating full animated series (without any requirements for paid content); reading physical books; traveling to museums and scientific endeavors; claymation/stop motion (and perhaps even live-action filmmaking).

Collecting more physical media definetly, I'd also like to get one of them box tvs and a vhs player so I can start collecting em too.

I'd also like to get into bootlegging stuff more. I was watching a lost media video one day, and the 'tuber said something like "Oh the person got the vhs tape and is working on transferring it to dvd/computer/whatever I can't remember" I was like, "you can do that?!" I imagine that would take a lot of equipment...and wires though.

Another thing I'd like to get into is stained glass making! Stained glass looks so pretty and yummy  :dog:

I have a considerable amount of enamel pins accumulated through the years that can be considered a collection; as of now most are fandom related while a couple being travel souvenirs (Formentera, Disneyland Paris, Dolomiti Mountains). I would really really love to collect vintage Olympics pins, especially those depicting the mascots! I know they go for a pretty penny online so I refrain myself from looking at the listings and biting my hands in regret... but I know a lot of them are adorable with designs I haven't yet seen replicated anywhere.

I'd also love to go back to glass painting, but that's a matter of lack of time more than a matter of money... not to mention our studio's lab is so cold during this season it might as well double as an ice room, so I prefer staying in the office until it thaws out. Computers make warmth ;w;

It's something I do already, but money is holding me back, especially since I don't have a job.
One of them is to record my own music, I have a guitar, amp, and a ds1 pedal but I wanna get more equipment to help me record stuff.
It doesn't help with the fact that my brain has been rotted by My Bloody Valentine, so more experiment sounds is something I wanna do, I just don't have the budget for it.

Another one is to expand my collection of music, I wanna get more CDs of my favorite bands, and expand to more forms of media like cassettes, and vinyl but god dammit I doubt I can do vinyl for a good while with its prices.

Glassblowing.,.,.,.,,,,there's something so beautiful about it and it's an art i've always wanted to pick up. I think it's the process of creating something so stunning from molten heat. I feel the same way about blacksmithing but I've luckily had the chance to play with blacksmithing and I enjoy it quite a bit! :seal: The act of creation in that sense is so freeing and theraputic

I would love to get into larger-scale 3D printing and cosplaying! :ha: both of these are so nice and I do have access to a fair bunch of 3D printers already, but they're my work and not my hobby. So I can't really print a lot of things, which is fair.

But I really want to specifically recreate favorite armor sets of mine from sci-fi media! Think the clone trooper armors from Star Wars, or maybe even get crazy with it and make a 1:20-ish scale replica of a big mech like a Gundam, and paint it up.

Silly questions like "Where do I put this?" are for after I finish the project, of course

Fun landscaping architecture fact #3: Did you know that ancient Egyptian pyramids and tombs contained little scale models of gardens and life in general? They are immaculately carved and painted, allowing us to view how their lives looked in great detail. In Tomb TT280 (The burial site of Meketre) archeologists found several models. Look up the likes of "Meketre Tomb Models" to find pictures, it's fascinating!

I think I'd start collecting cassette tapes, CDs, and much more manga than I do now. I'm pretty poor so I can't collect as much as I would like, usually only getting a couple volumes in a month. I've also been trying to get into music a little more trying to go beyond the super casual listening I usually do. I have a single exclusive cassette tape that I got from supporting a kickstarter a while back and I thought it looked pretty cool and my interest spiraled from there. I also just wanna get into music from my generation in general.

Doll customization

I watch a couple doll youtubers (dollightful, april rose and catmeleon studios are my mains) and it looks SO FUN!!!  thing is though, there's not really a lot of room in my house at the moment and i don't think it's a wise decision (at least right now) to be spending a ridiculous amount of money on monster high dolls and craft supplies.

I own a miku figurine, and i've been keeping the box so that i can recycle it if i ever DO start making custom dolls. I'd ALSO like to start a figurine collection as well...there's so many cool figures out there i'd LOVE to have (especially some of the stuff by goodsmile, I NEED THE LITTLE NIGHTMARES SIX NENDOROID SO BAD!!!)

I like the idea of being a light aircraft pilot too,

This is what I came here to say. But for me it's money AND risk aversion. I've heard a loooot of stories of people crashing fatally flying ultralights or paragliders due to completely unpredictable changes in weather or wind patterns.

Despite that I do dream of someday getting some kind of pilots license, maybe if I ever get to retire. The feeling of flying under mostly your own power and control has to be incredible........

Something I'm currently actively pursuing but am stalled at due to finances is I want an artist studio, our apartment is kind of small and there's no room for the kinds of prints I want to try to make. Going to keep looking though!

I would like to get more into homelabbing. I already have a homeserver that i cooked up from an old laptop laying around. It was so old it could barely boot windows. But now it’s running ubuntu server without issues! :seal: Would be cool to get a NAS and host my own music streaming service!  :wizard:
