MOVE TO BE HAPPY!!

If I don't get out of my chair, then I won't be able to feel fulfilled. This is a secret that I discovered a while ago and especially now that I live in the city it helps so much. Going outside, doing dangerous scary things outside my comfort zone, and using my devices only as tools helps me RADIATE POSITIVE ENERGY IRL.

What secrets do you have to feeling pride in yourself, fulfillment, and a sense of purpose? Sometimes in my darker moments I lose my sense of pride, and I think everyone else has that problem too. We should list ways to feel proud of ourselves to help eachother out.

I agree, sitting down/staring at screens too much always seems to get me down too - I found that limiting my tech and making sure I move more makes me a lot happier than staying inside in the dark browsing the web all day.

I also found that having an active creative project I can look forward to and make progress on daily helps me a ton - it makes every day feel like it has value, even if its very small! I also think creativity helps us strengthen our spirits, as it teaches us to boldly express ourselves without filters of fear of judgment - which I think translates to a more brave and resilient spirit in everyday life! Its something we all could use a little more of these days.  :wizard:

I'm still pretty much incapable of feeling proud of myself, no matter what I do.  It's fine, though, hating myself gives me motivation to be less of a piece of shit!  Although it doesn't really help my drinking habit.

And, yes, working on creative projects, sometimes.  :)

A lot of times in the past I'd be so focused on if something was good enough that I wouldn't do anything at all. Lately I've been making art (do signs count as art?) that isn't super high quality, but I'm making it. I'm proud of it. It makes me happy.

Here are some affirming statements which really helped me recently.
  • "You radiate positive energy"
  • "Everything is fine" (seriously don't dismiss this one)
  • "You're happiest when you step out of your comfort zone."

Recently I haven't had access to any electronics, but I had a notebook and a pen. Writing on paper has allowed me to go to nice places and write outside instead of confining myself to my room when I'm not doing mutual aid. Writing on paper doesn't mean it can't be digital eventually either. I just write my first draft on paper, scan it, and then I can use it as a reference when I write the second draft.

Eating healthier has also helped me. A good lunch is an entire head of cabbage eaten like an apple. It's spicy, and very wholesome. I had eaten too much meat before and it made me sick all the time. Vegetables are my friends. I love vegetables.

It's nice going outside, It helps me clear my head and think. Often when I go on walks I brainstorm ideas for projects and stuff. When I work on said projects I often share them with my friends to get ideas. Having friends to talk to really helps me when I'm feeling down too. I'm normally the one to send the message first but it's nice when they me sage me first sometimes!
