Weirldy named foods and flavors

Today my parent's friends came to my house, and they gave us these "Kitchen Sink" cookies. They tasted good but the whole time I was eating them, I thought "Why name them after a metallic and wet fixture"? Apparently the meaning of the name is based on the phrase "everything but the kitchen sink", which means that they're usually (in the case of a home baker) made with whatever the baker has on hand, such as pretzels, peanut butter, etc...

But that got me wondering: Have you encountered any weirdly named foods or flavors? Is there a meaning or origin to those weird names?

In the German region Swabia they have many rather weird food names. They have a kind of pasta which name is practically "Buttonlys" ("Knöpfle"), a kind of pasta filled with meat or vegetables called "God-Bullshitters", and there is a dumping which regional name roughly translates to ... well ... "boys penis".

Does bread pudding count? Its name is actually pretty indicative of what it is but I think a lot of people might be put off by the name lol. It's- well it's actually more of a pie-like substance, really, its main ingredients are bread (usually stale), milk, sugar, and spices. It sometimes has raisins or eggs in it too... Once its baked it becomes something like a cake or pie, and because of its plain ingredients it usually just takes the flavor of the spices, which is kinda cool. I like to use cinnamon and pumpkin-pie spice in my pumpkin bread whenever I make it 
It might sound kind of gross, but I promise it's actually very delightful! It may be a sort of pragmatic desert deliberately made out of cheap ingredients but it can of course be fancied up. u could serve it with ice cream or throw nuts and fruits *other* than raisins in there.... God bread pudding is so good.

There's this thing my parents used to make that was like hamburger helper on toast called sh*t on a shingle. I don't know if it's just a Midwestern thing, I wasn't really a fan of it. It's similar to a sloppy joe kinda, which is Also a weird name.

There's this dish I know that's called "ropa vieja" which translates to "old clothes" 
And also this variety of green onion called "calçot", and there's a whole celebration of their harvest and consumption called "calçotada". I can't help but find it funny because it's very close to "calçotets" ("underpants") 
And then there's "cachopos". I just find it a funny word to pronounce

I tried to make bread pudding recently. I accidently made short bread when i was trying to make cookies, and I didn't know what to do with it. I think it went pretty rough. Everyone else liked it though, so none went to waste. I think next time i will add pumpkin pie spice, i only added cinnamon and sugar. thankfully it wasn't overly sweet even though it was mostly flour and sugar haha.
