anyone who has been on the internet since about 2016, you probably are aware of a shut down short form content app, vine, or at least familiar with some creators on the site.   there's been recent discussion on how the ex twitter ceo, Jack Dorsey, is bringing back vine, only with a new name, no ai, and THOUSANDS OF ARCHIVED VIDEOS!!

what are your thoughts on the revival? do you think this is wonderful news and the newer generations will be able to experience true, non ai generated content, or do you think the past should stay in the past?   OR, secret 3rd option, do you think its going to become ai driven anyway?

I was super excited when I first heard about it, because I liked Vine. But later on I heard that RabbelLabs, the company actually making the app, also trains AI models. So the whole "No AI" thing is likely so they have a clean-slate to be able to train their AI with

the no AI thing made me have a bit of hope for the app. but eh it probably would've worsened attention spans either way, since most short form content has been this past decade
