What's on your bucket list? (weird answers encouraged)

Hi everyone!!

I'm working on doing a bunch of life review and preparations stuff for 2026 and the book I'm working through asked me to write up 100 bucket list items for 2026... big or small. So far I have 70, but I've been looking for some to fill in the last 30 or so and figured I might ask the community here. Some of the big ones that I have are like finishing up the first arc of my comic, releasing more blog posts, ect, ect. Mixed in with a lot of personal ones, I found some bucket lists online but they seem pretty oriented towards upper middle class white folks and I'm looking for some inspiration from a more diverse set of people!

So tell me, melonites, what is on your bucket list, could be this year could be in general!

A great topic! I have been actively thinking about creating a bucket list - but a 'whole life' one rather than annual goals. I was reflecting on how as a ~kid/teen I had so many huge travel dreams that I've stopped thinking about as an adult, and that I'd like to make a crazy bucket list to keep me from getting complacent in life / to remember there's a big whole world out there.

SO I'm not sure how I'm going to achieve these (!) but the beginning of my list looks like:

• Meet a Galápagos Tortoise
• Visit Il Meneghello Edizioni in Milan; handmade Tarot deck printers
• Visit and (audio) interview my Irish relatives about our family history

I've never actually written a bucket list but if I had to do anything before I die, it'd be:

- Write a greenlit screenplay
- Visit a con
- Travel to Tokyo at least once
- Meet one of my creative heroes
- See one of my favorite bands/musicians live
- Shoot an independent film (whether it be short or feature length)

• go to a demoparty!

• improving at archery (my aim sucks ass lol)
• actually get "good" at css

i have not thought about this in depth, but these are the ones that would definitely be on my lifetime bucket list:
- learn japanese (to a level decent enough for me to read a visual novel...)
- go to japan
- learn a 3D modeling software
- improve my 2D artwork to a point at which i am content (is it possible?!?!?). i want to focus on shading and anatomy
- find a job that i am satisfied spending the rest of my life with
- own a small&comfortable house and decorate it to my desires <3
it is pretty simple... a lot of learning... maybe this list will become more specific in 10 years :K

• visit the computer history museum

perhaps you can virtually visit the museum of computing history in the meantime... lol

- Participate in a mosh pit

• Create a comic series or animated series of at least one of my projects.
• Become a sculptor.
• Contribute to science and academics in one form or another.

• Own multiple vintage items and clothes.
• Acquire personal merchandise of my own characters.
• Become the artist I wish to be.
• Make a political difference somehow (for the better).

Once thing that has always been in my Bucket list is to Thru-hike the pacific crest trail.
The trail is 2,653 mi (4,270 km) long, starting either at Campo, California or Manning Park, Canada
and ending the other side.

Visiting Paraguay

And visiting Hawaii

I love this topic! I can't say I have many, but the definite ones are:
- visit a temple in Bhutan
- save up enough to buy a fursuit
- achieve at least a Master's degree, if not a PhD
- learn at least one other language enough to be understood and make friends in a new country

Odd, I've never made a list, even though I'm closer to shuffling off this mortal coil than most of you. (65 in a couple of months, and not exactly in the best of health.) Making a difference, visiting far places, it all seems impossible from this end of life. I can't think of anything I really want to do or visit. Well, there is one place. I would love to visit the tombs of the Russian royal family. But that's it. So if you do have a list, do everything you can to cross some of it off.

I've never thought about it, but here it is. I don't know how na&iuml;ve this sort of list would be, but here it is.

- To skydive without incident.
- To get on every single intense roller coaster at Knott's Berry Farm (and maybe Universal).
- To visit North China (I'm from its South).
- To walk along the Great Wall.
- To travel all the way along Route 66 from Santa Monica to Chicago, and back.
- To ski / play in the snow or something (I will have to wait until December '26 when we could get to the mountains.)
- To watch the entire Star Wars franchise in its chronological film release order.
- To witness a disaster scene UP CLOSE (Really, I'm too morbidly interested in such things to leave this out).
- To be actually fluent in my native language (Mandarin) to convey AND translate things properly.
- To learn and be fluent in Cantonese so that I could understand Cantopop songs without my needing to pull out a lyrics sheet and Google Translating them into English.
