i think its really fun when a site has customizable theme options, i always love personalization and a little touch of color  :4u:

i personally use the default theme, it makes me feel like im really browsing the old web and it reminds me a bit of the goodnight show and other shows id watch at night during my childhood (maybe thats why im usually on here in the late hours of the night haha)

im just curious what theme everyone else uses and why!!

I use the default because I got used to it before I thought to change it.

But - as with many of the websites I routinely use! - I use a userscript manager (my favourite is Violentmonkey!) to modify pages.

Userscript managers are amazing: they let you write your own CSS and JavaScript that gets run on other people's pages. Don't a website's naggy "log in!" popup appearing in the way of the content? Just have your userscript manager spot it and apply display: none; to it.
. Prefer it when your favourite news site was full-width, not a tiny mobile-optimised thing? Have your userscript manager put the design back the way you saw it. Hate those forms that make you type your password twice but try to stop you pasting into the fields? Userscript manager.

I've only got the two userscripts on Melonland and they're not strictly design-related, but I guess the result is that my Melonland experience looks just slightly different than anybody else's. And that's great.

i use the default forum theme! i've flipped around on the other themes but the default theme is the most appealing to me for a variety of reasons. i appreciate the darkmode prominence - white/bright forums really hurt my eyes - but it also captures, in my opinion, the truest essence of old forum. i should really add the other themes' css to my profile code ! ^_^
