Ordinarily I have JS enabled when I use the forum, and thus have no gripes about the new nav:
"Hello, Nav"
But I sometimes turn JS off and then it floats over forum stuff- like the text of this very post. NO PROBLEM, I have the Stylish plugin because lots of websites Do Things that I prefer to tweak or just turn off. I refuse to spend much time tweaking these things, but if I can fix it with a quick hack it makes me happy.
This one is interesting- Note that this isn't a request for support, it's just me playing with the new feature, but if you have an idea how to fix it Do feel free to share it. I almost have it working.
I figured this would do it:
.melon-nav-panel {visibility: hidden; height: 0;}
And that would hide the nav panel, and when I went back to the page the panel was gone.
Success?
Here's the fun part: reloading or going to another page brings the panel back. Did I do it wrong?
Not sure, because I found out if I keep the Stylish editor open in a tab, then go back to the tab and hit CTRL-S to save again, the nav panel also disappears again.
This might be a bug in Stylish. Like I said, it's not a support request- but feel free!
I could probably kill it with a Userscript also. The only thing is, I stopped using those because they're way less powerful (for security reasons) and TBH Stylish makes most of these little hacks simpler and faster to implement.
