Here is a forum thread talking about the TV show, Twin Peaks.

Over here talk about your favorite characters, moments, etc. And also talk about your critiques/takeaways from the series as well.

The movie Fire Walk With Me is also free to talk about as well, however if you go into sensitive topics please put a Content Warning(CW) on such subjects as well.

Hopefully will have good talks on this series in the forums.

I watched Twin Peaks for the first time a little while ago,and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. I agree with the consensus that it dips in quality a bit in the second season, (especially with James' whole plot), but it's still really great.

I will say that I had no idea going into it that it was canceled on a cliffhanger, so I went into the final episode like "how the hell are they going to wrap all of this up in one episode?" and them became very confused when they just didn't and even introduced more plot threads. I still need to watch Fire Walk With Me and The Return, and I'm really excited for both of those.

Dale Cooper is one of my favorite fictional characters of all time. He's just so much fun to watch.

I was kind of surprised by how much I connected with Annie, especially since she only joins the show towards the very end. I just immediately felt like I understood her on a level I usually don't with characters. This definitely helped the tension in the series finale for me, lmao.

I can't wait to watch Fire Walk With Me and The Return, and I honestly already ready to re-watch the main series.

I remember Fire Walk With Me making me cry and I don't cry at movies that much. Thinking about Laura Palmer makes me so sad.

Omg please precede with caution watching Fire Walk With Me. It's intense. I think Twin Peaks is so nice to watch around fall but absolutely after Twin Peaks Day.

Oh lord, Twin Peaks is my second favorite show of all time (right behind NGE). Lynch in general is a major special interest for me, so those feelings definitely extend to Twin Peaks as a whole. It's far from a perfect show, especially the later half of season 2, but it inspires me far more than any arguable perfect show ever has. I love just about everything from the characters, the music, the heavy themes, and the way it pretty much changed TV forever. Just the most Fucking show ever in my heart.

I have the entire show on DVD (save for FWWM), my own framed picture of Laura Palmer, a necklace of the owl cave symbol, and a copy of The Diary of Laura Palmer. My sister even made me a book cozy of the red room for Christmas!

I absolutely don't agree - I always considered the second season to be a straight improvement, and loved the increasing absurdity.

The shift to S3 was much harder to stomach for me: Seeing Twin Peaks (that I myself had watched in the 2010s) transformed into something that reflected the changes that had happened to the US-American society after 2001 was a bit of a shock. But I don't think that Lynch had much of an alternative: Keeping with the old formula would have turned the whole project into Kitsch (real Kitsch - Twin Peaks always plays with the concept of Kitsch, but it ain't no Kitsch) - and seeing what he had to deal with, he did exceptionally well.
