Let's talk about Superheroes!

Anyone interested in superheroes (especially Marvel) come talk about it here! 

Starting question: What's your favourite superhero(es)? I like John Constantine, Moon Knight, Spider-Man, all that jazz.

Superheroes is one of my special interest, just so you know.

uhhh I guess a couple of my favorites are Rexsplode and Superman.
Rexsplode because I think his character arc is pretty neat, and Superman because of nostalgia reasons hehe.
I actually don't really know a whole lot about this topic, I just felt like contributing

I like John Constantine, Moon Knight, Spider-Man

Shoot! I should probably have looked these up before replying because from what I've read on Wikipedia about John Constantine, he's a little bit like my favorite character of all time, Arthur Lester!! He's from the podcast Malevolent and he's a private investigator in Arkham. There's a whole lot of cosmic horror stuff going on, and while he doesn't have any powers, he's the embodiment of "the horrors persist but so do I".

Superheroes, huh...

He's not a superhero, technically, but my all-time favorite character within the superhero genre is Deadpool. Oh, sweet Deadpool... Not so much the Wade Wilson portrayed by Ryan Reynolds just because eh, the live-action movies aren't my thing. I prefer 616 (I'm personally thinking of Cable & Deadpool) and Wade as portrayed in the Deadpool: Paws novel (maybe also for nostalgia reasons, like Null? I was downright unhinged about this man when I was a tween). I also enjoy his portrayals in Marvel's Midnight Suns and Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions quite a bit.  Also COUGH COUGH I think a lot of AO3 writers portray him really well when they want him to kiss Peter Parker and it's rubbed off on me over the years but you didn't hear it from me and you don't even know where you are.

Anyway... Of course -- very cliche and unoriginal -- Spider-Man and Superman are tied for second place. Superman (2025) is one of my all-time favorite movies and I greatly enjoyed My Adventures with Superman! I wish DC would try one more time to make a Superman game though because poor Clark's got a horrific track record.
Both Peter Parker and Miles Morales are also cool as Spider-Man. Hahahahaha yeah I Like Spider-Man a Normal Amount. Yes.  Hahahahaha I can manage my excitement regarding things I like.
I actually really love the Insomniac games and ESPECIALLY love Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Does it have flaws? Yeah. Did I think the Venom takeover was fucking stupid? Yup. Did I DESPISE Miles' ugly ass suit in the big finale? Abso-fucking-lutely. But GODDAMN Kraven was so fucking cool to the point he became my favorite Spidey villain. Massive tangent and I apologize but yeah I like Spider-Man alright. Not Peter's recent 616 comics because I can't decipher them for the LIFE of me but they're both cool.

And then there's Spawn... Uhm. I'm including him here because Al's also pretty cool... Can't say much about his more recent comics since I haven't read them but the early issues are very, very '90s...

My favorite superhero is Spiderman!
I grew up on the Tobey Maguire series and that one's still my favorite!
I like Spiderman because he's like a regular guy who's trying his best and often loses but still keeps moving forward!
My favorite piece of spiderman media is Spider-Man 2 (2004).
It's funny, has great music, has great performances and is overall a really amazing movie! (it's actually my favorite movie of all time!)
I also have a spiderman hat which i really like.

I wouldn't say I'm super into superheros, but I'll always have a strong love for Batman. I adore Batman as a franchise, not only as a superhero thing, but as a piece of gothic horror/neo noir. I feel like my favorite works with him (Batman: TAS, the Arkham Asylum comic, The Killing Joke) really emphasize the strong horror and psychological potential of these characters, which is what makes him stand out so incredibly much. It's partly due to the franchise going on and being developed over several decades, but there's so many tragic layers to this premise and world and I love it when its fully explored. Needless to say, I'm super excited for the new Clayface movie that's coming out
