it's not terribly often that i come across an error page on someone's personal site. some people make theirs very simplistic, perhaps even just raw html, and some pretty them up or even add mascots. i'd love to see people's various error pages, so share them below!

I haven't made my own error page, but I definitely should. However, I've always wanted to find a clean way to integrate http.cat into my website. It's so funny that they have a cat image for each HTTP error code lol, I would love to have those load dynamically if they receive any specific error code.

it's gone basically unchanged since i first made it, almost 4 years ago! i'm still very fond of that frog i saw in the woods, so i'd probably keep it there if i ever reworked the page.
making a fun 404 page has been a low priority for me, because i try to make sure no one ends up there accidentally! a few months into working on my site, i made it a personal goal to never delete a page. if i want to move something to another URL, i keep the old page and set up a redirect to the new one. when i look at my site's access logs, i can see that most of the traffic to my 404 page is from bots scanning the web for wordpress security vulnerabilities
BUT! the more i think about it, the more i like the idea of hiding something fun there, like a recipe or some kind of javascript toy.

this page is my 404- its based after the forgotten man from deltarune!
i want to change it to the wii sports break screen but im still trying to find a good render of it... and how i would lay it out., if i do end up doing this ill probably keep this layout and make it a secret page or something
it was inspired by this not found page, and the webmaster gave me permission to do something similar :D

my 404 page

mine's simple; i've been using it since i was on neocities. i use xp.css and ascii art of a rabbit. it's based off of the opening scene from the matrix.
