ORSON MY DEAREST BELOVED FOREVER



i love genius inventor characters, i love probably-autistic nerdy characters who yap alot, i love reformed villains who team up with the good guy to fight a greater threat, wrap that all up in one cute pac-man ghost and you've got me hooked :'3

his relationship with pac-man means so much to me,, his first appearance was as the main antagonist in Pac-Man World, where he controls a scary robot impostor named toc-man. his plan is to order the ghosts to kidnap pac-man, then host a birthday party pretending to be him to steal his fame and glory! instead, the ghosts kidnap pac-man's family, then the real pac-man shows up, defeats toc-man, and saves them! and somehow, even after all of that, pac-man forgives him!! five years later in Pac-Man World 3, they're shown to be good friends, and they work together to defeat a world-ending threat! orson's a sweet little ghost who just wanted to be loved, and now he's friends with pac-man and finally getting that love ;w; i think this is the only pac-man character who goes through such a grand character development :O

i relate with him deeply, he's so precious to me and he's fundamental to who i am as a person. i lov himmm

He's from the podcast Malevolent so he doesn't have an official design, but here's my most recent drawing of him!

He's such a creature to me. Also I relate to him a lot when it comes to certain things (not so much his backstory, but more his personality). We both are fans of friendship and continuing on despite the horrors. I also think he's pretty autistic coded with a lot of similar symptoms that I have :] (executive dysfunction, switching between hyper-empathy and low empathy with little in between, black and white thinking, a strong sense of justice)

I should probably take some time to tell his backstory, so spoiler warnings ahead for malevolent! 

Heavy Malevolent Spoilers! Watch out! I'm Serious! (also a lot of dark themes & death)

Arthur was born in England during the early 1900s (my hc is 1902) and his parents both died when he was pretty young. Arthur was the one to find the bodies which wasn't great for his mental health :[ He ended up being raised in a religious orphanage, leading him to hate religion (especially cults). He later moved to Boston Massachusetts at around the age of seventeen. At some point he meets Bella and she gets pregnant so they have to get married due to the time period even though they don't love each other. Bella dies in childbirth, but their daughter survives. Arthur names her Faroe and the next two-ish years are described as the happiest time in Arthur's life. He pursues a career as a piano composer, but one night after Faroe's nanny set up the bath and left after telling Arthur, he ends up composing for the next few hours. Faroe climbs into the bath and drowns while Arthur is composing, and her death sends him on a downward spiral. He gets a drinking problem, but one day a man named Parker comes across him. Eventually he gets Arthur to come out of his shell and work as a private investigator with him. Everything changes when a package shows up on their doorstep containing a strange book. When Arthur reads the book a fractured piece of the King in Yellow that had been trapped there for years escapes, kills Parker, and partially possesses Arthur. The piece of the King in Yellow had his memory wiped so he doesn't know what's going on and Arthur can't see because his eyes are possessed. The two have to learn to work together to find out how to separate from each other. The podcast opens with Arthur blind, confused, and with a voice in his head. And that's just what happens before the podcast starts!

it's probably obvious from my profile in general, but my favourite character in ANYTHING is shadow the hedgehog. i fell in love with his character ever since i played sonic adventure 2 for the first time. his history and past is so tragic, but the way he works through his past and trauma is really inspiring, which seems funny to talk about when i'm talking about a sonic game LOL. i even used to dye red highlights into my hair to mimic his look, nowadays my hair is just straight red.

all in all, i dont think anyone has gone above shadow for me... he is the goat
