Recently bought Nine Inch Nails' 'Fixed' a few days ago. It's a handful of remixes of their prior album, Broken. Has some pretty neat remixes of i say so myself. Been slowly chipping away at collecting the entire discography of NIN (also known as HALO releases) as well as the discography of Godspeed You! Black Emperor :)

I haven't listened to NIN since "The Slip". I got into them around the time "Year Zero" came out, and "Ghosts I-IV" is the only instrumental album I've ever fallen in love with. I'll have to check out their more recent stuff.

Their recent stuff is pretty damn good, though it's been few and far between usually. On the topic of Ghosts I-IV, they released a followup to it sometime ago. Ghosts V: Together and Ghosts VI: Locusts.

Last purchased: Yunsae's "When The Stars Align" EP and 8TURN's "8TURNRISE" EP, both released this year, which I purchased yesterday on iTunes. The former is quite dreamy-sounding, and is great to listen to on a rainy day! And it's been rainy these past few days where I live! And the latter is harder-hitting hip-hop-inspired music. (I think---I'm really bad at identifying music genres!)

Last listened to: I'm currently listening to H.O.T.'s Wolf & Sheeps album from 1997, which I bought on Wednesday. It's perhaps the epitome of '90s k-pop boygroups, with songs like We Are The Future that are more hard-hitting and super hip-hop-inspired (even I can tell that, LOL) and songs like Haengbok that are happy and upbeat, and of course '90s slow ballads.

I'm pretty sure It's my Bad Religion Stranger Than Fiction Vinyl.
I'm mad I missed out on the official print of the Tetris CDI soundtrack. 500 were made and if I want one I'll probably have to splurge a whole lotta money. There's also the waterworld snes vinyl being sold by the same distributor but the cover seems AI generated so I'm hesitant.

My most recent album is the self-titled debut by Boston. I got it on CD for just a couple bucks, used but sounds great. I don't tend to buy a lot of CDs but I pick up cheap ones occasionally to play in my car, because I refuse to ever connect my phone with bluetooth.

I got a physical copy of Welcome to the Black Parade at a Walmart recently. That might not sound special, but my local area is so small that we don't even have a Walmart and I got it while I was out on the road with friends. Our plans got disrupted and I was incredibly sad about it, so I thought I deserved to treat myself with some physical media. I got a bluray copy of Twin Peaks: The Return along with it  :seal:

last album i physically bought was Enter Shikari's Nothing is true, the place i got it from is a general electronic/entertainment chain and they were getting rid of their CD displays. I was happy to snag it because its one of my fave albums but im sad to see the section disappear  :notgood:

cds of beyond beyond beyond, foxlore, and coyote stories by the crane wives :] i was with my dearly beloved best friend that day and earlier i bought even more cds at their recommendation (the cure's songs of a lost world, joy division's unknown pleasures, and an absolutely mahoosive best of the smiths collection)

i only started my cd collection recently but physically owning media is awesome

I’m eagerly awaiting the arrival of Madilyn Mei’s A Thousand Songs About It All: Act One, which I’ve ordered on CD from the States and could well be my album of the year!

The CD I’ve most recently managed to get my hands on was Dodie’s new album Not For Lack of Trying, which came out at the start of this month and is probably my third favourite album of the year. It’s very chill—they’re clearly leaning into some bossa nova influences, and that’s quite exciting to see.

Before that was my second favourite album of the year, which I got at the end of August: Laufey’s A Matter of Time. Honestly, I didn’t really expect anything to beat it for top position in my own personal rankings, because I love this album, and I’ve listened to it so much since I got it!

i got 2 cds recently from local bands. one is indie adjacent and another is horror punk. i haven't listened to them yet since i heard the bands in concert, but my brother uses cds more than me so i let him use them in his car.  :unite: they're both eps.

outside of those, i also got in the mail earlier this month the life of a showgirl by taylor swift.

Planets In The Wires, the latest album by Pagan Wanderer Lu.

His usual brand of politically-pointed boppy indietronica, it's not my favourite album of his (that remains the excellent The Signal And The Noise (which was so good that back in 2012 when it came out I felt unable to write a review about it before I first wrote a "reading list" for best comprehension of it!)...

...but man, I cried my eyes out both the first and second times I listened to The Frosted Pane, which slips in the middle as sneaky track 5 and absolutely captures the spirit of depression putting your life on hold.
