This Saturday, Central America will experience an annual Solar Eclipse, as detailed in the map on this website.

There is also another major eclipse coming up in April of 2024 in the Western Hemisphere.

Is anyone here interested in the eclipse(s)? Plans to go see one some day sooner or later, or just wishful thinking that one will cross over your neck of the woods?

Saw a total eclipse in 1999, and will never forget it :).

The next one here will be 2080. Wonder if I'll see it.
Since I refuse air travel for environmental reasons, and thus seldom leave the areal of central europe, my chances for seeing one somewhere else are rather low, so wish me a long life ;).

I love them. I was lucky enough to see the one in Shortandy, Kazakhstan in 1981, but have seen a few since then. I'v got friends in Tennessee, so was sat in their backyard for the one in 2017.

The one next year passes through Indiana, so I won't really have to leave my own yard for that, but will probably get out of the city.
