Things you do/have done to break out of routine

hey all! just curious if anyone has done anything small recently to break themselves out of the regular routine of life, and do something unusual just for the sake of it.

for me, recently i was up in the dead of night, couldn't sleep, and was feeling really stuck and restless. suddenly, i remembered i had free will. so i drove to get some food at the only place that was still open, parked next to a field in the middle of nowhere, no street lamps or moonlight, and ate while standing out in the cold, looking up at the stars.
felt awesome

just wanted to hear if anyone else had any similar tales of doing something unusual to break free of routine and remind themselves they're alive. and if not, i hope this will inspire you to do so!

the day after the 2024 elections i went for a walk in the nature trail on campus and it honestly felt like i had been reborn. beautiful stuff. I wish I actually Lived close to one, but alas T_T there is a park near here though which I really should visit sometime
