I have started listening to Of Montreal, a band I've been recommended for a few years now, and wow I wish I listened to them sooner. I really like the vibe and energy of the music as much as I like the lyrics and messages of it.
I've especially been into the album Skeletal Lamping, it has such a jovial nature to it, even when the lyrics don;t match that; which I've come to understand Of Montreal does a lot.

I've been meaning to look into new bands, especially smaller indie projects to try and expand my musical mind a bit. If you have any suggestions please do tell! I like bands like Stornoway and Gorillaz a lot, so folk and experimental pop/rock are some of my favorites genres!  :dog:  :ha:

I haven't listened to too much Of Montreal but everything I've heard of theirs has sounded good to me.

I would recommend, in that vein:
Evergreen (fka We Were Evergreen)
The Long Faces
Peggy Gou
Altin Gun
Mass of the Fermenting Dregs
Sweet Trip
Flowers For the Dead
Mustard Service
Fontaines D.C.
I would also recommend Panchiko, though I don't really like/identify with their fans for various reasons I won't get into here.

Out of these, try the Long Faces, Fontaines D.C. and Evergreen first.
