My Old YouTube Short Films collectionSo I have this playlist,
Old YouTube Short Films, that I started about a year ago because I had by chance come across this old project some friends made that I loved the vibe of. So I decided to search for more. As of 20/08/2024 it has 12 videos in it, most of which I came across by chance or were on channels I was already familiar with.
Let's unite for a bigger playlist!Originally I would just ask if anyone knew any old YouTube short films, but then I got this idea. Since I've been getting recently uploaded short films in my recommended, I got the idea to keep them in a
Modern YouTube Short Films playlist and my dream is to eventually get enough YouTube short films from each year to create a YouTube Short Film Timeline playlist with videos from 2006 to present.
The FilmographyHere's a list of what I've got currently:
- Joere Estremadura - Fahrenheit Coca Cola (Jul 26, 2006)

- Joel Haver - The Real Stroman (Aug 13, 2014)
(Currently a 9 year gap between "old" and "modern")

What am I looking for? You'll see that "short film" is more like an umbrella term here. Cosplay skits like "Trying to Kill Sasuke" and "Avatar - Blind Date Bending" have enough of what I'd consider a conflict and resolution so they got on. Then trailers like "Fatal Temptations" and "Breaking 'Beth" have a vibe that's fun enough to carry the concept and as for a "full film" I can't find any.
The one piece of criteria I do have is that the video should be uploaded by a member of cast or crew. Regardless of whether the cast and crew are friends or strangers, if it was put online by at least one of them then there is at least a strand of personal pride that will keep the energy fresh.
So please give me your recommendations. Give me videos or channels or even random old playlists you might've stumbled upon. You could even give me your own YouTube short films if you feel so inclined.
