Ahh! I see i see. For some reason I thought the outcome was much worse. I've since downloaded CrossTalk and enjoy it, so at least I have a couple options to use now

Nice! Did you find Crosstalk easy to install/use? I had some issues because I had to uninstall escargot, and then crosstalk didnt want to work so I ended up back on escargot, lol!

Not using it anymore, but I used TuxGuitar for a very long time to write my oldest bits of music. I have the programme installed on my PC still just so I can hear my old works and see if I want to rework them in my DAW. It was a lovely piece of software that made writing music much more accessible than daunting DAWs.

Have you tried using OpenOffice or LibreOffice instead? I would consider filezilla and notepad ++ as old software myself. They were created a long time ago (more than 20 years) but still are being maintained and updated until today. Great software  :chef:

Oh yeah!  :unite: Not only are they being updated and maintained but they still work perfectly, I have been using it for years now and I recall downloading it on many different occasions and it always. just. works!  :ozwomp: I'm not even being sarcastic or anything, I appreciate how there are no drastic changes and it always just works as intended.

I sadly jump from OS and/or machines on a daily basis so I have to rely on evil google for the docs. I heard Proton have some online alternatives but I never tried those either.

:unite: Yes, what more could you expect from a software?

Which part do you have to rely on regarding Google's online services?

You could as well host your own cloud instance. I already have thought about writing something about this topic but I have a BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG backlog. I actually had to resist posting something funny here  :dive:

Funny enough, I used to use TuxPaint waaaaayyy back in the day, before i even knew what Linux was. It's still super nostalgic for me, though I've also moved on to more capable drawing programs (krita is one of the best things omg)

I personally didn't have any problem with the installation. I did uninstall previous versions of msn+yahoo before downloading it so maybe that helped?
