wow, very nice mix of colors in this! it reminds me of snacks with tropical fruit flavors, so it gives an impression of tastiness hahaha. :ha: i have trouble with placing cutouts in collages, i'm too indecisive, so i don't often use them... this is a very nice assortment! is the five dollar bill real or a cutout? i can't tell!

i'd love to see more of your collages, but it looks like the images are broken in your gallery! alas!!   :defrag:

it's a cutout of a scan of a real one. I wanted the texture but didn't really want to have a budget for a collage haha!

whoops :ohdear: thanks for letting me know, I'll get right on that.

relatively quick and simple one, I made a new button. digital art stuff is difficult with a laptop and usb mouse, but I think it turned out nice.

woodburned piece from a couple of weeks ago. haven't messed with the medium in a while so it was a very fun project. I've always loved art nouveau and its naturalistic geometry, and I think it lends itself quite well to woodburning and similar mediums.

I took advantage of yesterday's downtime to dig out an old box of crayola crayons (24 pack, standard classroom set that I have probably had in the cabinet since 2014) and draw some colorful creatures. also visible on these pages are some of my stamps I've been playing around with, which are just rubber erasers from the dollar store that I carved designs into using my linocut printmaking tools. I love drawing with crayons, it feels super low-pressure and they have such wonderfully vibrant colors.

more crayon stuff :omg: I splurged on a 96 pack of crayola crayons because they were on sale at the walgreens for 3 bucks. I always wanted one of the big boxes when I was a kid. and now I'm a grown man with a big crayon box drawing dragons and I'm absolutely thrilled about it

been rewatching twin peaks lately as I have occasionally mentioned... I'm also desperately trying to get back into painting, an artistic skill which I have never actually felt I had any skill at but yknow. can't get good unless you try and try and try, and in its own way that's pretty fun. here's some studies of laura palmer.

whenever I feel creative but don't have anything specific in mind, I default to dragons with fun shapes... getting used to the nicer watercolor paints I bought a little while ago when they were on sale at the craft store and they are so delightfully vibrant. this one uses a lot of colored pencils as well, which I think is a really fun combo. cold pressed watercolor paper is my favorite for the texture it gives, and I think that plays pretty nicely with pencil.
