Server Side Includes (SSI)

Feeling a bit daft that I've only just discovered these are a thing!!

Does any host that uses Apache support SSI? Static front end things like Netlify presumably don't.

Do you use them? Where do you host your site?

I use the php equivalent (include) at some places - this has, to my knowledge, the very same effect, and should be supported by any host that supports php.

I use Hetzner, and I'm satisfied with it.

I hope you find a host that uses them, NGINX has a similar function as well.

I self-host Apache, so can't recommend a particular host, but every page on my sites use SSIs.

Thanks both! I've just found a nice little shared hosting company that's reasonably priced so I can start playing with this.

And I can start playing with PHP and databases too. It's something I did do in the past, but have almost forgotten since all my personal projects went to static hosts like Netlify (because freee).
