Hey hello hi! I'm me, also known as PossiblyAxolotl or Ax / Axo (they/them).
I'm a silly non-binary Canadian game developer, video creator, and general do-er of internet things. I love making weird projects that don't necessarily fall into trends like when I made a rhythm game you control with the Rock Band Wii drum kit controller (because that's relevant as of this year  )

I love web design and I especially love poking around on Neocities and Nekoweb-type websites. I have my own site here that I think looks pretty nice, albeit a little "too professional" so I think I'm going to try to find a good happy medium between the professionalism and the more fun / silly personalweb-type stuff. I've also been blogging a little bit on my blog (who could have guessed it would be there!) and while I'm not the most active I still enjoy it when I get around to it.

I love making things to share with people, whether it's games, videos, or whatever else I decide to do, the thing that matters to me most is just being able to create and see what people think of the stuff I make. I'm still fairly new to a lot of this indieweb-type stuff but I'm really enjoying my time looking around here and learning more about this place

Its very difficult, but it really reminds me of the first video game I ever played ~ Im super in awe that you were able to make it, Id love to make things like this!

I didn't knew about playdate, it looks really neat, there's an OG gameboy vibe, it's awesome. What gave you interest into developping games ? What's your all-time favorite game ?

It's really cool to find someone else online who has a Playdate as it's not super common outside of Playdate specific spaces, but I guess of all places this seems like one that would probably have one, and I'm glad you like the game! It's definitely pretty difficult, I haven't playtested it in a while so now that I'm rusty at it I get to see the difficulty myself haha


I've been interested in making games since I was really young, I would make levels in like Super Mario Maker and play a lot of interesting indie games and eventually went to a summer camp where I got to learn to code in Python on a raspberry pi and just kinda kept going from there :3

For my favourite game, that's a really hard one since I play a lot of cool indie stuff. The Portal games are classics, I'd say Oneshot is pretty high up on my list, a game that specifically inspired Rocket Bytes is VVVVVV by Terry Cavanagh, I've played through that one quite a few times and it never gets old, I also try to keep a list of some games I like on itch but it's super difficult to try and pick one: https://itch.io/c/1982525/favourite-games
