Great forum.
My name is Brad. I first fell in love with the Web when I got online in the last half of the 1990's. Eventually, I made a couple of websites on Tripod and Homestead. Anyway, that was/is the Web I treasure the most. All those hand made Geocities sites were like a 24/7 street fair: some serious, others so very entertaining.
Anyway, since search engines were not very good I started my own science fiction/fantasy niche web directory and later even more. But directories fell out of favor and frankly when Geocities died there was little to catalog. Plus Google had become gatekeeper for the web. So I closed down all my directories.
In 2018, dissatisfied with how corporate Web 2.0 was, I started a directory of non-commercial sites with the aim of encouraging individuals to make their own websites and even directories again.
Thanks to the efforts of many of you as webmasters, the Web revival part of the web is fun to surf and I hope it expands.
