I got an idea for a little "game". :ha: Here it goes:

A user will give a random word or phrase. The user bellow will attempt to translate that word/phrase in another language they know as accurately as possible and later provide another random word/phrase for the next user to translate. And the circle shall continue!

Rules:
- The words/phrases provided must always be in English, of course.
- The crazier the words/phrases, the better!
- Some context for the translation would be awesome in more complex scenarios, but it's not required.
- That's it. Have fun & be as creative as you wish!

Huis met bananen, en appels
Perhaps I didn't explain my idea clearly enough- woops! The later provided word/phrase is meant to be entirely separate from the translated one. Sorry about that! :ohdear: (Though this way of thinking could be used for another game!)

Here's an example of how I visualised the idea:
Quote
user1: chocolate
user2: chocolate is chocolat in French! My word: moon.
user 3: moon is mond in German. My word is "dog"!
And so on...

Feel free to provide any word/phrase you want translated (in English). :ok:

way to make it difficult  :tnt:

i think dubitative would most likely be amhrasach in Irish, but I'm super rusty T__T

ma in Italiano dubitative è semplice, è dubitativo/a  :transport:

my word is: rainbow!

Rainbow is arcoíris in Spanish!

Phrase to translate: a monkey with a knife
It's used in my country to say that to give someone something (either a literal object, information or power) is to make them dangerous lol

A monkey with a knife is "μια μαϊμού με ένα μαχαίρι" in Greek. That's a funnily interesting phrase, ha ha!

Here's another phrase: the sky's the limit :ha:

"Two wrongs don't make a right" would be something like "Dos errores no hacen un acierto" :dog:

My phrase is "simpler than the handle of a bucket" (one of my favorite expressions in Spanish)

In Scottish Gaelic, that would literally translate to “Nas sìmplidh na làmhràcan am bucaid”.

One phrase I love from Gaelic is: Better a broken language than a dead language
