Digital pets (of the hardware kind)

Is aliexpress particularly better than something like Amazon?
I got my Digimon 20th Anniv. pet from there, so I'm wondering if I should check Ali in the future instead when looking for stuff like this.
Side note: I'm raising a Savior Hackmon and Wingdramon right now.

I think it depends on where you are from, both are marketplaces so they should carry around the same itens. I personally use aliexpress because amazon likes to tax me for every piece of adessive tape they use and every inch of oxygen inside the box regardless of local laws while Ali doesn't do that. I also strongly dislike Bezos XD

So hey, which egg/eggs should I choose for their replacements? I think it'd be fun to raise something chosen by users here and show the progress!

I like both spots and stripes, so I'd have to go with either one of those. Numbers 1 and 2 jump out at me the most.

I had a brief hardware digital pet collecting spree  I got a Gigapets Unicorn (of course!!), a Pocket Neopet Aisha and two Tamagotchis of the "retro rerelease" kind. I was also interested in the Tamagotchi Eevee but I didn't know if I wanted to invest this much money in this hobby and that's where I left it  I still enjoy this kind of pets, tho

Looks like Egg 1 and 2 received the most votes, so that is what we are going ahead with! Thank you to those who cast their vote!
This is going to be kind of a long post so I'll put it behind a spoiler so as not to wear out anyone's scroll wheel.

So when we last left our heroes, they had succumbed to both my negligence as a caretaker, and their own excrement. A grisly way to go, but not unknown in the Digital World. That's okay though, we have unlimited eggs at our disposal to hatch a fresh batch of new Digi's!


Two fresh eggs obtained from the Digi Nursery are polished and placed in their new home. On the left we have Egg 1, and on the right we have Egg 2 (I wasn't fast enough with my camera to capture a head-on shot, oops). After choosing our eggs, we wait a very quick minute until....


Ta-da! New Digimon's are born! The eggs hatch and we get to meet our new pets! (Again, I wasn't fast enough to capture Egg 1's hatching... all of these pictures happened within seconds or minutes of eachother lol  )



Everyone, I would like you to meet Botamon (Egg 1) and Punimon (Egg 2)! Fresh from the egg and ready to rumble!


And by rumble I mean they had to poop almost immediately after being brought into this world. Priorities, right?


But hey, that's life! We quickly clean up their mess, feed them some grub, and give them their vitamins! Digimon babies are even more needy than human babies, if you can believe it.


Now we have some happy baby Digimon! At this point, they are alright for me to leave them for a little so I can upload these pictures! Unless.........



Yes, shortly after uploading some photos, I heard the telltale cry of a baby Digimon and saw that they had performed their first Digivolution! Say hello to Koromon (Egg 1) and Tsunomon (Egg 2)!

Now that our Digi's have settled into their In-Training form, we can rest easy for a bit. It will take a bit of time for them to digivolve again to their Rookie forms, and it's at this point where caring for them will determine who they digivolve into next! I think that's where I'll leave it for now, and once I have some more updates, I'll let you all know!

Thanks for the update! I recently purchased two of the newer Digimon pets--the 20th anniversary and a DigimonX, and as soon as I'm done running the pets I have now, I'll be pulling the tabs and starting those. So it was really exciting to see yours, since I'm not super familiar with Digimon, but I'll be getting into them soon. I recognize the little second stages yours grew into, they're cute!

Hey congrats on your purchase! I haven't ever used any of the other Digimon VPets outside of this 20th Anniversary one I have, so I'm interested to know what kind of mons you get from that one!  I hope you'll share some when the time comes.
And thanks, Koromon and Tsunomon actually digivolved again today, but they went to bed like immediately after, so I'll have to save the update for tomorrow. If you've ever watched Digimon in the past, you can probably guess who they digivolved into... lol...

Thank you! My MicroDino from Radioshack died yesterday, so I started up the DigimonX today (chose that one because it's got a questing system in it, and I figured I'd add the other one later). I was greeted by a little Puttimon, who pooped and ran around alot, and then a few minutes later it digivolved into Tokomon! They're both very cute--Tokomon likes to CHOMP CHOMP at the edges of the screen, and sometimes it likes to show its teeth and go "GRRRR!!!!"

That's really cool actually, Tokomon is my favourite Digi! Although that looks like the X-Antibody version of Tokomon, which makes sense because you're using the X Vpet I think. I'm kinda jealous of the extra quest features you have lol, bosses sound like fun.  Give Tokomon some meat for me!

i just got one of the retro release tamagotchis last week  i was gonna get a digimon, but the shop i bought it from was out of digimon by the time i went to go buy it, so i settled for tamagotchi. (thooough looking at that cute little guy up there i may have to go and look for a digimon too!!)

i named the one im raising right now tamper proof seal and theyre in the teenage stage right now, its very fun to raise them :] but i fear that this will get me In To^tm digital pets...
