What Anime are You Currently Watching?

I don't really watch any anime ever (just not something that interests me) but I'm currently chewing through Tropical Rouge Precure and I adore it. Every time Minori is on screen I'm just like

A buddy made me watch Pretty Cure Doki Doki and now I'm just a magical girl fan I guess. It's like every complaint I've ever had about western superhero media has been removed and replaced with glitter and girl power and morals about making friends and having fun. 

In terms of other Precure series I want to watch Go! Princess, Star Twinkle, and and the first series (Futari Wa Pretty Cure); other series I want to watch in the wider genre are the 90s Sailor Moon, Revolutionary Girl Utena and Princess Tutu. I guess I have my work cut out for me. :b

I'm watching Chobits right now! It's a really good show to turn your brain off to. Also, Chii is incredibly endearing. I can totally see why autistic folks invested in this type of media love her.

While I haven't started anything new lately, I've been rewatching

Trigun Stampede

on repeat almost every night. I am deeply obsessed with the show, but I also find lots of enjoyment noticing new little details every rewatch.

Not so much "currently watching" (though it was so good that I already want to re-watch it), but I recently finished Mononoke!! It's a 12-episode psychological horror miniseries (though I didn't find it very scary, to be honest) with an absolutely gorgeous, vibrantly-colored art style. If you like episodic shows I'd definitely recommend it.

I have finally worked my way through Revolutionary Girl Utena, and wow... My thoughts are in shambles at the moment because there's SO much to address. I think it's truly a staple in anime as a whole and worth a watch from anyone. At worst you watch it at 1.5 speed like I did for half of it.

Picked up Hunter x Hunter again. I watched the first three seasons with my family and then they all moved on without me I kinda remember the events, so I have the english dub on in the background while I draw.
I've been told that Killua's jp va killed it (lol), so when I get to season 4 I'll switch to the og dub. And actually look at the screen this time hehe

I'm currently working up the nerve to fire up season two of Bastard!!. The first season was wall-to-wall shonen cringe (and it knew it) and I suspect that the next will be much worse.

So, I ended up watching the new Bastard!! arc, "Hell's Requiem". It took the shonen cringe I had mentioned before, cranked it up to 11, and then broke off the knob trying to crank it up even higher.

But if you're into big bouncy anime titties (and asses to match) this anime's got you covered.

I'm watchin' Yu Yu Hakusho! It's.. surprisingly pretty gay haha, I love Urameshi and Kuwabara's dynamic 

Basically, a delinquent in high school is hired by a baby to hunt spirits, he befriends people like The Grim Reaper and his rival to form a team basically
A lot of newer animes are pretty obviously inspired by this anime, like Mob Psycho 100 which is one of my favs (if i recall, mob literally does Spirit Gun?? lol, also the delinquent arc in mp100 is directly from an episode in yyh)

Might update this the sooner I get into the anime.. right now I've been busy binge watching It's Always Sunny In Philedelphia which, is not an anime xD

Isn't Rose of Versailles the classic of the genre? How about Claymore?

I'm on episode 9 of Sugar Sugar Rune right now. I love the art style. Never watched it as a kid but it still gives me that nostalgic feel. The story isn't exactly deep or anything, but if you like magical girl fun it's worth checking out in my opinion.

I've been trying to keep up with Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts. I love all the animal people.
My girlfriend has been pushing me to get through Kokkoku but it's a tough watch.
Got quite a backlog but I've never been able to get through a 50-episode magical girl show personally...

I'm inching through my mile-long planning list lol. Right now, I'm trading off between Madam Is a Magical Girl and the second seasons of Classicaloid and gdgd Fairies. I also just finished Season 2 of Hell Girl, and I'll probably start the third soon.
