Description


Rescue: The Beagles is a infinite runner where you rescue dogs that escaped from an animal testing facility. There are three layers, and you can shift between them - often, you will require items that appear on the map to do so. Be careful: The facility staff and the toxic waste they produced will kill you on touch. Also, you can't leave any beagle behind!


How to get it?
Rescue: The Beagles can be freely downloaded at https://16x16.org/2008/12/05/rescue-the-beagles-final-version-released/
There is a commercial version available on Steam. The free version we play is incompatible, as the game was heavily altered. Linux users can use Wine w/o any problems.


Tournament

Target:
Highest Score wins.

Joining:
No need to register beforehand. Just play and post a screenshot with your score, either on the end screen or the highscore list.

I will then update the table in the first post in this thread.
Feel free to submit multiple scores! I will always use your best, and it helps to build some tension and competition :).

Duration:
Submissions close as the forum closes on Monday, the 06.05.24. I will update the results and call out the Winner on the Tuesday afterwards.

It's funny that! I'm not sure if there's something aesthetically missing about this game, but unlike all the others I just didn't feel compelled to pick this one up I'm afraid

I also wondered; not sure if the problem is the aesthethic or if I've overdone it a bit with the Tournaments. I'll probably take a moderate hiatus and try it again :3.

I was definitely interested in joining, but unfortunately I've been swamped at work and I'm too exhausted/forgetful to try to learn a new game. I hope I'll be able to participate in future tornaments when I have a bit more time, though!
