i suspect those were from someone with blocked "canvas", like @BlazingCobaltX. i also use LibreWolf, and it's blocking canvas by default (because it's fingerprinting iirc). i suggest to try to write to your visitors a reminder to check if their browser blocks canvas or not.

Thanks so much for this code. I am using it on my site. Works great!

just so you know: I'm severely autistic, so a lot of the time I don't get social cues, may be unintentionally blunt, unclear in my language, etc. I also have memory loss so I forget things a lot.

Have a lovely day!

Added it to my site and it works like a charm, thank you! No more Strawpage envy haha.

Did made some code changes that perhaps someone reading this might find useful
  • Set the value of the brush width slider to 2 with value="2". The javascript sets it to 2 on page load but the slider has a value of 50 by default if it isn't set explicitly. Now the slider starts at the left side.
  • Remove the width and height from the canvas html, and instead set the width and height of the canvas to the size of its parent container in the script, so it initialises to a nice size for any screen resolution.

I was having problems with the size of the canvas in mobile, it always overflows outside the container. Thanks for mentioning this trick!
