i actually use opera gx ! i know its not the best (cough advertising cough) but it does have webkit support unlike firefox and it has a lot of nice customization settings so i like it. there are also built in controls to restrict its gpu/cpu/ram usage which is kind of nice tbh...

I stopped using ARC recently and switched to Vivaldi. I loved ARC and wanted to try Zen, but didn't want to switch to the Firefox build. I do like Vivaldi, but ARC was one of the best browsers I've used and it BUMS ME OUT

i use firefox, both on PC and mobile! while mozilla corp has definitely made some bad decisions in the past couple years (why they'd throw in ai chatbot integration when most of their users are privacy-minded is still beyond me LOL) neither chrome or opera have been as reliable, lightweight and responsive on my low end devices as firefox has been - which is really huge as someone who tries to replace their electronics as little as possible. besides, being able to send tabs to and from either platform makes keeping track of things a lot easier.

I would switch to firefox or brave for the adblock but im sooooo used to safari's UI that i just cant bring myself to adjust to a new one....I wonder if theres some kind of elitism between browsers, sort of how arch linux users are soooo proud of themselves

if i was gonna guess, i'd say browser elitism is more spread out & isn't claimed by a specific browser. even then it isn't as bad as with operating systems, but it's still there. i have seen a few people judge others for what browser they use in terms of privacy, mostly it's people talking about whether chromium forks or firefox & its forks are better. like for example, in the privacy guides forum, i used to see some people say firefox & forks based on it weren't "secure enough" because chromium has "better security" with the idea being that privacy guides should only recommend brave. meanwhile fans of firefox & its forks argue that it is more lightweight, challenges the dominance of chromium browsers, and/or that chromium browsers probably still sell your data to google due to the code it's based on

on my iPad, i use safari, but i have it blocked during work sessions. ever since apple’s liquid glass update, i’ve found myself using it more because i like the UI and its pseudo-frutiger-aero-ness

on my windows 7, i use pale moon, which is probably the most surprisingly capable browser across platforms old and new. i don’t browse heavy “modern” sites full of google/facebook/amazon ads, though. just the indie web. and i’ve bookmarked a lot of indie web pages on it  i also use retrozilla, a protoweb browser, for websurfing on the protoweb proxy server

Started using Firefox when I heard that Chrome was getting rid of adblock. I'm far more loyal to Ublock than I am to Chrome I moved over and I am so glad I did. It's been a much better browser to me and it's been nice removing another google service from my life  :cheerR: :dog: :pc:

I use Zen, which is a fork of FireFox. It takes a bit to get used to since the nav bar is on the side, but it's quite simplistic and I enjoy the various colour customization options, as well as the community mods. For me, it works.

Firefox on my PC. Safari on my iPad. Opera on my Android phone.

I was on Chrome for the longest time but after their changes to extensions that made the full version of uBlock not work I decided screw it I'm moving over to Firefox.

I think my browser history from day 1 to now went: IE -> Firefox -> Opera -> Chrome -> Firefox.

I use Brave because I was interested in its built-in ad-blocking feature before I discovered uBlock Origin. I’d like to try other browsers, but I’ve gotten too used to Brave. That’s because I’m more familiar with its settings layout and setup.

The extensions I use are uBlock Origin (because I can quickly disable JavaScript if needed with this extension), Obsidian Web Clipper, the WAVE evaluation tool (to learn what a website with good accessibility looks like), and Linguist.
