I decided to reorganise today so I figured Id give an updated full desk post!

These are the two main systems! The left screen is an external monitor for my Macbook Pro running modern MacOS, its connected to a 1999 iMac keyboard and the wacom tablet. On the right is my Windows 7 screen and its connected to a dell tower from 2012 thats under the desk, its there for 3d modeling and windows stufff.

On the wooden desk I have the OS9 iMac and print related stuff, this desk is also used for craft and writing when the iMac is not needed! The iMac also now has the hotsync dock for my palm pilot!

Bonus pictures, I also setup a dedicated lil table for zine making and I included a picture of my projects storage zone!

Finally tidied up so now my desk is a bit more comprehensible. All my fountain pen inks and some of the pens are on the left, and on the right are my inking plate for printmaking, my desktop scanner, and my tray of crystals/stones. The drawer is most of the width of the desk and it's absolutely full of writing and printmaking supplies!

wow~! everyone's is actually pretty good!

i don't wanna share a photo of mine lol (;-.-) but basically, my desk is dusty and messy.
two monitors - one Acer gaming monitor (that i've forced it to be 720p ~60hz anyways but it's 1080p 180hz) and an older BenQ monitor (with only DVI and VGA, NO DP or HDMI) and i don't have it hooked up at all.
my desk's just an officeworks Typhoon gaming desk, it's left cheap plastic light thing has already snapped off, and the lights don't work anywaysssss
it has a carbon fiber top too, but i've grown out of my edgy gaming phase, so i'd love to get a clean oak or pine desk or something.

though hopefully when i can (and hopefully move out) i'll get a new desk and clean the heck up! plus my own back needs a good chair lmao
it's looking hopeful though!

My desk is primarily an art desk! Its two big folding tables, filled to the brim with various art supplies. It takes up most of the room in my room haha. I think it helps that my "bed" is a small couch/loveseat that doesn't take up much space itself at all.
It's also slightly different now than pictured here. I got one of those mini computer tower things since my laptop was having issues, and I switched which folding table is piled with stuff, but otherwise its basically the same.

Not a super clear representation, mostly cos I need to clean my desk. I have a lot at my desk. I'm really into retro tech and this desk was NOT built for that so it's been haphazardly modified to meet my needs. I have a 4K monitor and two CRTS up top. I mostly use the larger CRT for VHS playback and for recording tapes when I make custom ones. The tiny B&W one is honestly for aesthetics and a good place to put visualizer. (It's running desktop engine rn.) As far as retro tech I have a betamax player, Atari 7800, a VCR and a VCR/DVD combo at my desk. This little desk (Which again, I must re-iterate I SHOULD get a new one, I just haven't yet and I fear the complete de-construction and re-construction of my setup I'm not gonna lie) is pretty small. My keyboard is on a piece of MDF I have connected to the desktop, albeit it's removable if I need it on my lap or something. It's not great. That being said, despite all it's very evident shortcomings I love it. It gives this weird 90s/2000s hacker setup vibe that I love. Over the years I've been modifying it to fit my needs, including adding a boat cup holder to the side of it for a place to put my coffee. If anyone wants more pictures after I finish cleaning it up, lemme know. (this gif might take a sec to load)

Never mind! Forget tidying up later, I did a bit of tidying NOW. You can even see me halfway through typing this post lol :O so here's a full image of the setup. It may be horrible, but it's mine :3

Now if you're wondering the haphazardly made cube for the CRT. One of my cats knocked down that TV ONTO MY MONITOR BELOW and somehow nothing broke. The TV wasn't exactly wobbly or anything before, like it's a heavy TV it wasn't going anywhere. The box is temporary as I plan to make a better one, I just didn't have access to the tools at the time. I'm assuming she got behind it as that's the only way I really see her accomplishing that. Now she can't get behind it. There's also a blanket up top because my other cat likes to sleep up there sometimes! We live in a small apartment and don't have lots of high places for the kitties other than kitchen cabinets and a modest cat tower, so I get it. It's also pretty whimsical to just have him up there, chilling. Here he is up top:

If my desk has taught me anything, it's that cats don't care and will find a way to get anywhere.
