How often do you visit your own site?

A lot of emphasis is put on visiting other peoples websites and sharing websites, but Im curious how often you visit your own site? Not while you're actively working on it, but simply to spend some time with it as a visitor.

Do you visit it often? Do you notice things about your site or about yourself when you visit? Is it a place you like to spend some time when you're online?

And if you dont visit it often, I would encourage you to spend some time with your site and report back! Its about time you two got to know each other better

quite a lot actually. i usually just sit on it and have my browser open almost all the time my computer's on... not a great habit since i close it a lot for extra RAM space lol

i guess my own perfectionism loves being on it and picking out micro details, but really though - inconvenience is counterculture, but the only thing i've been really trying (or at least looking at) getting done is making it more accessible.
firstly a JavaScript button to pause all animated GIFs/APNGs, in which right now JS is a pain but still :P
planned buttons to make it in the OpenDyslexic font as well

but i like how it looks for now, i just want the buttons to be... a little less than convenient, may i say the least lmao
that being going to each page, not the accessibility!

I like to spend a bit of time on mine.  Usually when I'm working on it, but I definitely enjoy the ambiance!  :)

I don't really have much content for myself to go back to, but I like to add to it.  In fact I'd like to add to it soon, and fix a couple of broken links.  :/

Daily. I visit my site more than other people's sites tbh. I often read and click through my characters lore, story and world building, especially if I haven't in a while. I wanna know what kind of garbage I wrote there that I need to fix because my universe develops constantly

Other than that I just visit for fun. To stare at it, to look at the hit counter or the internet collection widget, poll... And anything else I want to revisit depending on my mood and thoughts.

very often, because i keep my bookmarks there. not everything like in my bookmark manager, but pretty well sorted.

also because i'm testing if it looks ok from mobile.

sometimes i look at my art to see how it changed. and read old texts.

or start to imagine like i'm a first-time visitor and try to see my site in this way lol.

or... i'm trying to stop and notice if my site feels truly mine. if something's uncomfortable, then why? helps me to reflect on my anxiety about sharing with others!

and i try to check my ideas dump (not linked anywhere) from time to time in case i forgot some ideas.

i just keep it open all the time lol open some pages, test some things, read past-already-cringe posts and try to get new ideas for it.

it's kinda hard to see myself as a visitor, though. after hours of coding, testing and designing a page it kind of "loses the magic". its easier to notice imperfections and harder to find it enjoyable. i trust my work, tho, so i just go with it lol

On average I'd say once a day. The Links page is where I keep bookmarks that I regularly need on PC, but otherwise I also like scrolling around and see what the pages look like. If I spot an error I'll correct it right away, too. Like a guard making the rounds through his usual station.

Funny to read this is apparently not uncommon. I've always felt weirdly self-centered about checking my website as often as I do. I guess it's obvious that the main audience that would enjoy your site is, well, yourself.

All the time! I constantly have at least a few tabs open of it at any given time, but that's passive viewing. I actively click around and browse it probably about once a day. It is my greatest personal indulgence. I love my site so much, and I am extremely proud of it... I enjoy seeing it and knowing that I created it myself, knowing the hours poured into it. It feels like the culmination of myself and my greatest efforts. And seeing the site and what areas need additions inspires me to diligently work to add more to it!

I probably look at mine every other week or so. Mostly to look at all the gifs and blinkies I've collected on my about page, and to sometimes go to a website I have saved on my links page.

It's nice to go back and read some of what I've written though. And it feels good seeing a part of my website that was difficult for me to code. Like one part of the "My Hero Academia" page on my website, has a paragraph talking about a character on one side, and  then the characters portrait to the left of it, on the same line. I was so happy when I got it to work, and I remember that whenever I go to that page.

I treat my site the same way I treat my art which is constantly looking at it. I find it not only inspirational in a way. But there is also this sense of satisfaction I get when I look over it. This feeling of "Damn... I did ALL of this ", and knowing that I did all of this motivate me to do, and create more.

This is a great question! I visit my site about once every day or two, just to check on it. As weird as it sounds, I think its just satisfying to look at and see my own place existing on the net alongside all the other sites I visit. Plus, I like to check my guestbook occasionally to see whats on there!

I think visiting my site often continues to inspire me to develop it, since I'm always coming up with new ideas and projects for my site when I visit!

constantly lol, at least when i'm in a phase where im working on it often. i tend to look at my own art a lot in general so my site is no exception :P

+ i also like to check back often for new messages in my guestbook or chatbox

Technically, every day, since I host my "new tab page" on my site. I check it a few times a week though, just to look thru the guestbook and cbox.
