I've made my first blog post titled On Quarter Zips. It is a creative nonfiction piece inspired by years of being the only non-engineer in my group of friends. It is meant to be lighthearted, but there is a bit of my own anger showing in it. I hope it speaks to those that also feel like they are not made for the corporate professional world.

I have some other blog ideas cooking, but they likely won't be anything like this. The next one I want to work on is a historical look at Emo as a music genre, and in the future I want to write short fiction.

I guess this is my Not-An-American showing, but I don't have any kind of imagination of the "kind of person" who wears quarter zips! This is probably a cultural thing that doesn't translate, perhaps! I think I get it, though, from context!

And I definitely see those SEO-bros all over the place. Man, those people are tiresome!

Anyway: thanks for sharing!

Thank you for reading! I'm glad that it still made sense through context. I tried to make it not American-specific, but its hard when I don't really know what a generic Office Guy looks like elsewhere in the world.

You're totally right on SEO Bros, I know because I was one lmao. It's not a terrible job in terms of day-to-day work, but it felt awful to be a part of it. I think doing SEO laid the foundation for my interest in the indie net and similar projects that are separated from corporate tech.
