I'm here because my friend Bugwatcher kept recommending me to join, and I do in fact miss old forums very much so I am here now (I used to had started my online journey on virtual pet adoptable forums when I was young lmao, I'm now an adult)

I'm a programmer but I haven't quite figured out how to use that power online just yet, as I'm more of a backend/functionality type of programmer and doesn't really work with aesthetic and design as much, but now I'm back to try to dabble in more on websites and stuffs, hoping to make my own space on the Internet, maybe make my own stuffs that I can share one day

I've just recently overhauled my site on nekoweb and trying to make it more legit while still being something personalized to myself, check it out here if you'd like, it is still heavily wip at the moment

Majority of the time on the Internet I'm just a hobbyist artist that just draws anything, and just obsessing over my own OC

I hope to learn more cool stuffs from melonland, maybe make some new friends too while I'm at it?

It doesn't have to be a limitation! I always saw myself as a backend engineer (and frontend purist/minimalist: just doing what needs to be done to get the data in and out of the bit that "matters") for the longest time.

The best time to start is right now. Get some cheap or free space (Neocities, GitHub Pages, Netlify, DigitalOcean, wherever!) and put something online, even if it's just a "hello world". Then add a little more. Then add more still. Then tweak the CSS. Learn as you go, and you'll eventually be sharing amazing things, I'm sure.

Hi there, I'm littlelum. I honestly can't remember how I found this forum. Probably Neocities, most likely. I actually joined about a month ago, but since I never got the "you've been accepted" email, I didn't know I was accepted until I randomly tried logging in last night.

Anyways, although I can't "art", do like making things, just more emphasis on things that have some minor functionality rather than look pretty. They're mostly either low effort or unfinished, though.

I've never really been part of social media, my online experience with communities has mostly been in a forum known as Mario Fan Games Galaxy. It will be turning 25 years old in July!

My main interests are Mario Kart, Mario lore in general, and my faith. There's a lot of other things, too, but those are come and go short term things.

I think a large contributor to me joining is the fact that this seems like a rare positive space on the internet.

Anyways, that's all I have to say about me for now.

Hi, I'm Amanda or sloth_army1 (you can call me either). I'm a trans girl who's currently studying mechanical engineering. I just started making my own website so I thought it was the perfect time to join! I actually got approved a couple of days ago, but my email marked it as spam so I'm only just now logging on.

I made my website to save and share my reviews of movies, music, games, books, as well as any other things I have some kind of take on. I'll also share some things I'm cooking  (though that might be pretty slow for a while, since I don't have easy access to a kitchen in my college). I just started, so right no all that's on it other than my about me and stuff is an extremely aggressive review of "The Blob"(1958), a much more positive review of "The Blob"(1988), and a review for a notorious shock film that you might want to ignore if you understandably don't want to hear about that kind of stuff. The website is very much cobbled together with random internet html tutorials and prayers, so I'm definitely going to keep working on it (If you go to it right now it might work fine, however it is hard programed for 1980p monitors, so don't be surprised if it is not the right size ).

I've been joining a lot of forums recently since I quit what little social media I was using, and I can't wait to be a part of this one!

You can call me Mint, I'm an artist+animator and very-very new to the indie web. My site got online just a few days ago but I spent a lot of time on it (you can check it in my profile!). At this moment it's pretty empty but I have A LOT of plans >:3c
I used forums back in the 00s-10s (I'm old  ), those were Petz(PF Magic) sites and roleplay forums (TLK and original settings). I really missed this time so I really glad to get back to this format <3
English isn't my mother tongue language and I have troubles even with my origin language so I may not be MUCH active...but I'll try!

I'm not sure that I'll active in next few days because IRL stuff but I'll back!!! (need to draw cool avatar with my mascot + make my room here)

I want to find the middle between fun and colorful sites with a huge amount of widgets and simple easy readable sites. Because some folk have really impressive sites that looks like an art...but those are easy to lost in

Hihi! I'm Pepper, i just joined this forum and I'm pretty new to this corner of the web in general. I think I found this through the webring which I found from another webring linked to a neocities site I was on.

I'm a photographer, i shoot on film and do black & white and some experimental color. I also draw digital on my ipad and I mostly draw furry art, my current project is a cyberpunk furry scifi set in the near future! Its a hard scifi so I'm finding myself like reading lectures on .edu sites about crater formation and orbital inclinations and stuff... its fun!

umm i haven't spent much time on forums and the like, most of my internet exposure has been on reddit but I stopped using reddit this year (so much happier for it) and started drawing and sharing art on bluesky. Bluesky's alright but I'm really really digging my website and exploring other people's pages and stuff.
