Fortunately / Unfortunately

hi friends!

let's create a forum story together! fortunately/unfortunately is played like this:

• the start of the story is posted. in this case, Bob decided to go to the store.
• person 2 replies, "fortunately..." with a good outcome: Fortunately, Bob had a gift card for Christmas from his old Aunt Bertha.
• person 3 replies, "unfortunately..." with a bad outcome: Unfortunately, Bob called the number on the back and found out it was expired.
• then someone replies, "fortunately..." with a good outcome, each reply flipping between fortunately and unfortunately
• ... and so on!

if this is too spammy and isn't allowed, i am so sorry and please feel free to close! i picked this game because it does require a LITTLE creativity, at least!!

let's start with this one:

During a block party, the whole neighborhood used all the tools at the neighbors' disposal to cool everyone down.

Fortunately, the tools were cold.

Unfortunately, there was a giant man eating moose at the party, and he was getting hungry!

(Also, no spam issue, we can move this to another board later if needed)

fortunately, it was so hot, the moose was happy to eat ice cream instead!

unfortunately, the moose's ex girlfriend was at the block party and he couldn't enjoy his ice cream in peace

fortunately, the mooses ex was actually made of ice and she melted in the heat shouting "Oh what a world what a world!" (she didn't die just melted)

Unfortunately, this created a flash flood, which threatened to stop the party altogether : (

unfortunately, the moose's ex managed to crawl out of the dam

fortunately, the moose was able to teleport his way to the other side of the earth so that he could enjoy his ice cream in peace!

unfortunately, he teleported into a HUGE bowl of pasta being prepared for the great Australian pasta party!

fortunately, the pasta was al dente and easy to use as a rope to belay out of the bowl like a rock climber

unfortunately, the moose lost his ice cream and is now looking into eating humans again.

fortunately, the moose came across a wax museum and found some tasty almost-humans to nibble on!

unfortunately, the wax figure maker was a wizard who gave the almost-humans sentience, and now the wax people community is devastated :'(
